C'mon, let JD play. If the cut was gonna get infected, it would've already. Is a couple more days really gonna make a huge difference? We need the help, and I'm sure if you gave him a choice, he'd choose to play.
We don't know how severe the cut is and if it's limiting him in any way. It's one thing to skate around in practice, it's another to be going full tilt every shift.

Need JD back for the shakeup alone.
He would help out this team so much not just with his presence but shifting Parise off the 2nd line to the bottom-6 where he can actually be more useful and productive.

It's really super obvious that he can't handle 2nd line minutes but right now, I don't think Bednar has much of a choice. With him being the 'broken wheel' on that line, we are affectively a 1-line team again and that line isn't even playing their best.

Yeah , the Avs have so much bad luck with their key players during playoffs. Last time it was Nichushkin and this time it's JD. A few years ago every goalie they had were droping like flies ( Michael Hutchinson  ) Is it too much to ask to have a full lineup when the playoffs starts ( not counting Landeskog in the equation )

Even when they won The Cup they weren't healthy. Kadri and Cogs both playing with one hand. Bura and Girard both out with broken bones (hand and sternum). Landy playing on what essentially was a really bad knee that has kept him out the 2 years since.
