Blues have weathered the PK storm, 3/3 so far and 2-0 up. They’ve got Fleury overcommitting laterally, exactly what you want

Quite the wake up call for the bolts

think their wake-up call was getting swept by Columbus three years ago. This is just a sloppy game they weren’t ready for, happens to everyone.

can’t believe Wild started Fluery given how good Talbot has been and how he is capable of completely melting down in the playoffs.

Edmontons D already looks like a tyre fire. Ceci, Russell with glaring mistakes. It’s a crime icing such a terrible d unit behind McDavid and Draisaitl.

As bad as the Oilers D is the Kings D can’t handle McDavid at all so far.

Lmao I want Boston to fail miserably. I hate Boston, I also want the pick to be higher just in case the ducks want to trade up

I was listening to Dimitri Filipovic's podcast earlier and he mentioned exactly that with Fleury and why the Blues would prefer him in net. The Blues don't take a ton of shots because they pass up good shots to make an extra pass to give them a great shot. Fleury's aggressive style makes him very vulnerable if these types of passes get through.

Both defensive units are tyre fires so far.

To win in the playoffs you need to be big and fast. The Oilers for the most part are small and outside of McDavid and one or two others are slow. Kings have taken over with their speed and tenacity.

Oilers look awful and Quick is playing like he did against the ducks a few weeks ago

Edmonton actually giving legitimate minutes to Kris Russell in the year of our lord 2022. Connor should be demanding a trade to an upgrade, like a team that feeds Kevin Shattenkirk top-4 minutes.

Speaking of McDavid, just picked the Kings defense apart, wow, what a play

Smith is terrible. Stating the obvious, even if they can’t defend, Holland not going out and getting a goaltender is gonna cost the Oilers dearly

Oilers goaltending is almost as bad as not picking Zegras.

EDM just isn’t good enough. This will be a battle of a series for them

Yep. Up front they’re really good but when you are icing one top 4 dman and bunch of 6-7s with Smith as your goalie you’re not going far.

Not sure if Byfield gives me Evgeni Malkin or Emerson Etem vibes…

When the Kings start cycling like that, the Oilers have no answers. none of their D can move those forwards off the puck
