isn't Andersson the kid who threw his WJC silver medal into the crowd because it wasn't good enough, and then sat out on the Rangers over his place within their organization?

If so, it looks like the Kings might have clarified things for him today.

Will he stay or go back to Sweden? The NHL isn't for everybody. He might be a big star over there. The Swedish Wayne Gretzky, just like Michael Nylander once was -- in his own mind.

Andersson's career summed up in 10 seconds:

Believe he threw his medal into the stands because Canada received either four or five power plays in the third period of a championship game.

Should have shown more restraint but understandable in retrospect.

Imagine that. An impulsive, undisciplined team drew penalties. Go figure?

Your post makes it sound like you didn't see the game. In a physical game when both teams were competing only one team was being penalized.

Had they "let then play" or called the game tightly and both teams received penalties it would have been acceptable.

That was not the case.

I guess you're thinking the refs should have evened out the penalties, and I'm thinking the Swedish team should not have committed so many infractions.

The types of players Vegas needs 2-3 of. Problem for them, is they might not start making a few moves until next week when their LTIR kicks in. Look for them to be active next week. Starting with Hague.

Interesting waiver day. Samorukov and Kostin could be claimed by the rebuilders. Armstrong was part of the scouting staff in STL that drafted Kostin and he loves huge players, so he could be a Coyote. Since the Habs really need a RD, I can't rule out Kovacevic being claimed.

Janmark and Martinook being waived is related to the LTIR process the 2 teams need to go through.

Johnsson being waived was called by Devils fans, just no room there with all their young forwards.

Khudobin: There are teams like Philly who need a backup G. But do they try and see if DAL gives them an asset to take on the contract once he clears waivers?
