Romero, Kulusevski and Hojbjerg are all great players too IMO.
According to Deloitte:
Tottenham 20/21 revenue: €406.2M
Everton 20/21 revenue: €218.1M
Daniel Levy has set up this club to be very comfortable in the long-term. Not remotely worried about Everton lmao.
It was clear by the tail-end of the season (when Kulusevski and Bentancur came in) that Spurs were outperforming Chelsea. On top of that they lost important players on free transfers with other important contracts soon running out. And then there's the whole takeover which can be very unpredictable. We'll see.
What are Man United challenging for right now? Even if they have leeches for owners, I believe they can get back on track if they get a competent front office. But it might take a while.
I think that's still very much up for debate. But they have a lot of good, young players that I think could possibly make some noise for them in a few years (unless Saka leaves lol).
I have lots of thoughts to this.
1. Agreed on Everton. Lol even putting them in the same sentence. Everton is not a good team.
2. Agreed on Chelsea but they could easily prove otherwise. They lost like 60% of their backline. They could be fine but as of now I’ll put Spurs slightly a head.
3. If United can get a few of these rumored transfers over the line, they could be competing a bit more. Now that’s a big if. Right now, I have them pretty comfortably at 5 with potential to move up.
4. I don’t like Arsenal and they just bought a back up 9 for huge money. I think they are a clear step behind in terms of overall quality. One thing they do have though is they seem to overperform their quality. I have them at 6th right now.
5. This relates to 3/4. One thing about United and Arsenal struggling is that I think they’ll have less players heading to the WC than Spurs, City, or Liverpool. This could allow them to go hard in the beginning of the season, get a long break with some training, get right back to work at the end of that break. They will be rested whereas the other three teams will be relying on depth for a while after the World Cup.
