It's time for our annual Ducks prospect rankings. Each poll will run for 48 hours except in the case of a clear landslide. I will go to the top 25 and include a final poll where you can pick 5 honorable mentions. Please tell me who you want me to add in the replies. In the fifteenth poll, I am voting for Blake McLaughlin.

As always the list will define prospects as hockeysfuture does: NHL Prospect Criteria - Hockey's Future.

Picking Galimov.

This next tier are 3 players for me: Mahura, Benoit, and Galimov.
While both of these defenders are very good at the NHL level, and already playing games in the NHL, Galimov is still one year younger than both.
Galimov to what I understand is centering the 2nd line in Kazan, but he is actually taking the most faceoffs on his team. Judging by ice time and shifts, it looks like they have 1A, 1B situation there. I hope to catch their game sometime soon.
Last year he flashed his skill often, and he can be breathtaking at times. I guess what he has to work on now is consistency, which I guess he is doing by taking a larger role on his team. I'm sure the points will come.

To give some context: Galimov is only 2 months older than Lundestrom.

Next one I will pick Benoit. Not much offensive potential but I think he can clearly carve out an effective 3rd pair/PK role and be effective piece on the blueline.
Last of the bunch will be Mahura. Although he has some offensive potential (2nd PP maybe), he needs to improve his overall game. I was pleasantly surprised with his physical game last year, so I think he is coming around, let's see him more.

Its getting pretty hard to pick at this point in time. I either don't hear a lot about a lot of the remaining players, I think that they have limited potential, or I wonder if they will ever come over from Europe to try to play here.

Happy to see some votes for Tschigerl as well. I think he's further away but has some intriguing potential for a 3rd line role.
Same with Hinds – his profile and the fact we picked him in the 3rd round makes me thing there's something there.

But looks like this round will require a 3-way tiebreaker.

The return on effort there can't be worth it once you make it this low in the rankings.
True. If they were clever they'd use different web browsers for each account so they stay logged on and can easily vote fast lol

Is RHD Andersson's game that bland that he gets no love? I put Galimov and Benoit above Andersson. To the Gulls watchers, any insight on Andersson's play?

I disagree to an extent. His production has been there. Defensively he has struggled sure but its not like Larsson has been good.
Mahura's not meant to be a defensive player but he needs a minimum level of competence which he's never shown outside of a couple games. We can't really a carry an offensive "specialist" who's good for 25 points a year or something. Guys like that end up in Europe or Asia.

Has he ever gotten more than a couple games at a time? Not sure how he's supposed to build that confidence. He may nit be an NHL player but IMO hes brings more to the table than Larsson

Mahura falls down from contact more than any defensemen I may have ever seen in San Diego.
