They did in the past with guys like Bozak. Either the current FA don't interest them or the FA are more interested in other teams.

There's been a lot more talk with them kicking tires on Euro free agents, which is also a little more inline with their MO the past few of years.

Shore, Kivihalme, Mikheyev, Lindholm, Ozhiganov, Borgman, Rosen, Aaltonen, Zaitsev VS Duszak, Moore, Kaskisuo
Even if you count Veronneau, as they were reportedly quite interested in him last year and then traded for him less than a year later, there's quite a weighted interest in spending contract slots on Euro FAs over college FAs.
A number of college kids have gone to the Marlies or the Growlers on contracts and TOs though, the past couple years.

What I find even more interesting is that of the 13 NCAA signing so far this year, we've seen 4 different teams double dip, already.
BUF (Biro, DiPietro), CGY (Mackey, Poolman), NYR (Khodorenko, Rueschhoff), PIT (O'Connor, Lee)

Don't know for sure how much of a role it plays as these contracts are all starting next season, but Toronto is technically using 48 of its 50 allotted contracts.

Are there any players in particular that you expect them to pick up this spring/summer?

Not complaining about the threads, just feel like people shouldn't expect a whole lot because many get very let down when guys like Vesey dont turn out.
It's really a lot like talking about 6th and 7th round picks after draft day :) Still there is always the odd Bozak.

Ivy League cancels season. Does this mean would-be seniors who were not drafted are immediately available as free agents?

One player that comes to mind is Princeton forward Jackson Cressey.

Yup, they would be available to sign if they wanted. I imagine some of the seniors will finish up their degrees now that the academic year already started and the AHL season isn't slated to start until February. And technically speaking, it wouldn't necessarily just be seniors but anybody who is no longer draft eligible (anybody born before 2001 assuming they played in North America during a draft eligible year).
