Not sure where Hendriks will sign, but the A's are saying Diekman will close next season.
when diekman's on, he's great. but when he's not, it's real bad

1 run leads in the 9th are going to be stressful as f*ck with diekman closing

This has to be one of the slowest offseasons in recent memory - with COVID likely being the primary factor. Besides a couple noteworthy moves by the Padres, everyone other org has played it very conservative and most big names haven't made any moves.

Done deal, according to Heyman. Grossman has been really good last year, so the value is there. But he will probably not bat above 125 wRC+ again, so if the Tigers want to start contending in 2022, his production will be a bit too light. I also wanted Detroit to sign a 1B/OF type, to give enough ABs to Reyes, Jones and Cameron.

grossman was great for the A's last season. got so many timely hits

no way they were gonna bring him back at those terms though
