Bullpen mismanagementI fell asleep with Dodgers cruising up 3-0
WTF happened?
Kind of ironic, the Nats have the worst bullpen in the league, and it was the dodgers pen that lost it for them.Bullpen mismanagement
I fell asleep with Dodgers cruising up 3-0
WTF happened?
I see Clayton Kershaw choked again now
That explains how it all went wrong
This is after probably over-managing with the pitching changes in game 4. He seems to do this every year, over-managing for good portions of the series and then just seems to abandon things to fate in the critical moments.Dodgers fell asleep up 3-0 as well.
Rendon's homer was a good pitch. That's just Kershaw playoff voodoo and Rendon went down and got it. The Soto pitch was destroyed though.
Really though it's more of a Dave Roberts problem. 7 outs to go and you have your entire bullpen available on full rest... why are you bringing in a starter? Why are you pitching Kelly more than one inning? Bellinger on 2nd in the bottom of the 7th with no outs and you can't bring him home. That's just a myriad of bad decisions.
Just saw this:
Kershaw has allowed 10 HRs in potential elemination games. Not only is that the most in postseason history, it's 2x as much as any other pitcher has allowed when his team's facing elimination
