Yeah, we all want the instant gratification of trades NOW, but with the artificial pressure of the draft now past, GMs may want to wait to see how things shake out with their RFAs and bigger UFA targets before they pull the trigger.
I brought this up a couple of weeks ago, but you have to wonder how easy it would be to trade Kreider with so many UFA wingers out there.
Panarin, Zuccarello, Lee, Dzingel, Williams, Donskoi, Nyquist, Connolly, Ferland...
Until those guys find homes and there are teams left without having gotten one, Kreider’s value can’t be quite as high as we expect it is. Between that and the cap not coming out yet, I’d imagine a lot of interested teams would be cautious about trading for a player.
