Kind of nervous. Astros struggle in TB for whatever reason. TB also has a good rotation. Sometimes the Astros bats tend to disappear. Dont expect a sweep. Hopefully Astros in 4. Good news, Hinch said he expects Correa to play on friday. Apparently he feels good and looked good during practice.

Houston in 3.

Would have done it to either team, tbh. Verlander, Cole, Greinke with that offense. Can't see TB winning any.

Astros in 3. It's a shame, because Chokeland could've given them a better challenge

Way too much was made of Oakland's "success" vs. Houston this year. In those last two series where they won 6 of 8 they mostly faced pitchers like Armenteros, Urquidy, Sanchez, etc. Against Verlander/Cole/Greinke they won a grand total of one game vs. the Astros this year out of eight starts, and those three guys ERA vs. Oakland was in the 1.5-range.

Tampa was always the bigger threat. They have solid pitching, good hitters, and for some reason the Astros always hit terribly in that warehouse the Rays call a ballpark. But when they played there this year it was Opening weekend, before Greinke, and before Alvarez and Tucker, etc. came onto the scene. I said Houston in four, but Tampa's dangerous. I was hoping for Oakland to win, but I knew better to count on the A's in October.

Gonna go Rays in 4 cuz why the hell not they're due. And plus they're hot at just the right time. I won't be kicking myself if they don't win but anything is possible

Rays in 5. Anderson, Pagan and Castillo + Morton/Snell/Glasnow? Wow.

Astros in 3. Get that dump stadium out of the playoffs asap.

The only reason I wanted the A's to win is because I'm not a fan of the Trop.

What a shame that this playoff crowd we saw won't get a chance to host an LDS game.

Much? Lol
Rays pitching:

25.3 WAR
3.65 FIP
3.89 xFIP

A's pitching:

18.7 WAR
4.34 FIP
4.72 xFIP

According to Baseball Savant, Tampa Bay has six of baseball’s top 39 pitchers -- including Emilio Pagan in first (min. 100 plate appearances) -- as ranked by xwOBA. (Glasnow #5, Poche #22, Anderson #24, Castillo #34, Snell #39).

3.25 bullpen ERA since the Trade Deadline is the best in MLB. Also first in FIP (3.59), tied for first in WHIP (1.20) and first in OPS (.651) during that time.

Yeah, not even close at all.
