Astros in 3. It's a shame, because Chokeland could've given them a better challenge
Way too much was made of Oakland's "success" vs. Houston this year. In those last two series where they won 6 of 8 they mostly faced pitchers like Armenteros, Urquidy, Sanchez, etc. Against Verlander/Cole/Greinke they won a grand total of
one game vs. the Astros this year out of eight starts, and those three guys ERA vs. Oakland was in the 1.5-range.
Tampa was always the bigger threat. They have solid pitching, good hitters, and for some reason the Astros always hit terribly in that warehouse the Rays call a ballpark. But when they played there this year it was Opening weekend, before Greinke, and before Alvarez and Tucker, etc. came onto the scene. I said Houston in four, but Tampa's dangerous. I was hoping for Oakland to win, but I knew better to count on the A's in October.
