I'm trying to be realistic here. I don't think our injuries will hit us THAT bad

For our first pick there are:
a) 50% chance we take a left handed Swedish 2 way defenceman
b) 50% chance we take a LW with size and physicality

I don't know a whole lot about that prospects outside of the top 10... but Jacob olofsson seems like someone wed prob have our eyes on.
You think we look at centers(keep planning for a world without kesler/getzlaf/perry)... or now that our defense cabinet is a little empty do we start targeting dmen.
Personally I think we should focus on getting top 6 forward potential players... we draft dmen good in the 2nd round +.... 1st is prob the ideal time for us to find some top 6 talent.

What we need the most right now is elite talent(s). The position doesn't matter that much, BPA is the way to go IMO.
Contrary to previous years, where I've been quite critical of the Finnish prospects, I really like Kupari and Kotkaniemi, they were excellent at the U18 WJC last spring and have started their Liiga seasons well.

Start paying attention to prospects that fall in the rankings throughout the season, those will be the ones the Ducks draft.

Dominik Bokk has really started to emerge as a sleeper candidate to make the first round of the draft. He has the third highest PPG in Sweden's top U20 league (among players with more than 5 games). This is what he did a month ago, the guy is already way too good for that league. He had a beauty of a goal in the SHL as well.
Someone on the main boards threw a Pastrnak comparison out there, but I don't think Bokk has that same tenacity that Pastrnak has. Regardless, he's speedy and he has a boatload of talent/potential, which is what we desperately need in the system right now.
