What, you don't like it when the complete ****ing moron GM you support says something completely ****ing moronic to justify completely ****ing moronic moves and then people call him on it?

But has he not said something stupid or idiotic thats more recent.

You guys need a Benning press conference to happen so that you can nitpick something and attach and hang on to an imperfect thought or words someone speaks. Then it would put everyone out of their misery and you guys can finally have fresh material. This one has been beaten to death. Its boring, Unoriginal and stale

so this is ridiculous. year after year we lead the league in key injury stats. we need a deep dive into canuck injury patterns over the past few years. if only there were canuck blogs that did this kind of thing.

green was asked in the postgame about it and blew off the question saying he doesn't do any deep thinking on the subject. that's a bad answer for a coach of a team with a prominent stat. i think it's time his answer is "we have looked into it carefully and examined whether our training, system and deployment deviate from nhl norms in a way that could be contributing to this phenomonen".

personally i think it may be as simple as signing too many skinny dudes.

He says something stupid or wrong nearly every time he opens his mouth.

However, his mindbogglingly stupid and incredibly wrong comments about injuries to justify this summer's signings are extremely relevant in the injury thread when a pile of bigger players have gotten hurt.

Feel free to keep plugging your fingers in your ears and keep pretending your house isn't on fire.

Tanev - blocked shot
Sutter - put himself in a vulnerable position to make a play and hit the boards with full impact on his shoulder.
Nilsson - broken finger
Baertschi - put himself in a vulnerable position that resulted in an unintentional hit to the head.
Beagle - broken arm from blocking shot.

None of these have to do with conditioning or size. They have more to do with style of play. I love watching the up tempo play but, if they're playing that way most of the time, you can expect more injuries. Gotta admire the fearlessness but they do pay a price.

Edler, Boeser, Pettersson arguably conditioning or size related.

Sutter was playing really well so that sucks. But a blessing in disguise for the developlent of Gaudette.

You'll never convince that for three seasons in row, the Canucks are just the victims of 'bad luck' when it comes to injuries. This team is chronically injured. Is it because they're too passive and play too much time in their own zone taking punishment? Are Edler and Tanev being dramatically over-played and just taking too much punishment? Is Brandon Sutter just plain injury-prone?

Less than into the season and already the Canucks are a mash unit.

Sutter is actually a big part of this team. Sure he is overpaid but he takes the hard defensive minutes which allows Bo and EP40’s lines to start in the offensive zone. Sutter is also a reason why our PK hasnt been abysmal

Same with Beagle. Guy started 7% of the time in the offensive zone (albeit a small sample size of 5 gp but still)
