evolutionbaby has not played in weeks, but he's still in the contest, its not a bye. The rules stated it was based on how many were in the contest, not when the last time they made picks was. He is given the opportunity to rejoin the contest. If he doesn't make picks, its 0 points. Dr John, if you tried to make no picks and win on tiebreakers, the first three would be tied. I've decided that the fourth tiebreaker would be I pick a number between 1-10, I'll PM the number to another poster, and you have to guess it on 5 tries. If not, you don't advance, evolutionbaby will advance. In the future though, the fourth tiebreaker will be number between 1-100, closest to it wins, but if evolutionbaby doesn't play, we have to do some variation of that. So if he doesn't play and you want to win without a tiebreaker, you only have to score one point. You can do that any way within the rules, can even only make one pick if you think that makes sense for your strategy. If your total is 0 though, tiebreaker. If its a negative number, evolutionbaby will win, and advance to round 2.

An extra pick is added to the contest. You can now pick each golfer four times instead of three, but it doesn't reset for the playoffs, you are only allowed one extra pick. A reminder, the first two rounds of the playoffs are only one event, final round is two events. No re-seeding. First tiebreaker is fewest amount of players to miss cut during match up, second is average placement of picks during match up, MC, WD, DQ basically just come after last player to make cut. If 65 make the cut, MC is 66th. If 155 make the cut and miss the cut, 156th is WD, etc. Third tiebreaker is amount of winners during whole season. I'm not going to post winners and weekly MC's anymore, but will check the winners totals afterward if we need to use that tiebreaker. Fourth tiebreaker is number between 1-100, closest to number wins. After you are eliminated, you can stop picking for the rest of the contest, if you want. You can still post picks to see how you do, but they just won't count.

One big rule change to make sure we have no one purposely picking the same picks as their opponent to cause tiebreaker #3 that they'd win, you can not make the same exact picks as your opponent. First to make their picks is given those two players, next to make their picks then has to make their picks accordingly, and any changes made to picks will have to react accordingly to who has the current first picks in place listed, so if you picked first and you change them, your opponent doesn't change them, you have given up slot #1, and will have to react accordingly in your changes to that. You can still pick one of the same golfers, just can't be the same two.

For those who missed the playoffs, thanks for playing. Next season's contest will begin with the first Fall Event in October. We'll discuss changes for next season between now and then, so if you have any post them.
