Anyone know if he is kicking this weekend? I'm probably going to drop him and go with another alternative on my fantasy squad.

I only see one way: Garoppolo leaves for another team (Will the Pats really franchise him for 2018 if Brady is still intent on playing and he is still a high end starter?) and then Brady retires 1-2 years afterwards. And then Belichick retires (he'll be 66 in April, is he really coaching into his 70's?).

If they manage to keep Jimmy G happy, and considering the staggering lol fest that is the other 3 AFC East teams, they may very well put in another 5-10 years of dominance. And that is assuming Belichick retires at some point.

Its a pretty good possibility. He may retire when Brady retires, but he also loves & breathes football so who knows.

Guy almost singlehandedly cost us a playoff game and seems to get a suspension every few weeks for doing something stupid. So of course give him a giant new contract. Mike Brown is easily the worst owner in all of football, and one of the worst in any sport.

He also almost single handedly won us that same playoff game.

Outside of AJ green and maybe Geno Atkins he's the best football player on the team, and one of the best 4-3 LBs in the league.

They pretty much had no choice but to sign him and hope he can stay on the field

But at what point does the fact that he can't stay on the field and that when he does he always does something stupid outweigh all that? We've been building around bad character guys ever since Marvin Lewis got here and we've gone nowhere. And not to mention with the league cracking down on exactly the type of thing Burfict specializes in you know he's going to be constantly suspended unless he miraculously reforms.

Stupid mistakes aside, he's good at his job and the team is much better with him, than without him.

It's a legit question, he has to be near the end of the road. You should never underestimate him though. Looking forward to the next Garoppolo generation when the time comes, but this is Brady's team until he says otherwise

Donald got to miss all of training camp and preseason, Rams waived the fines, they're going to pay him tomorrow even though he's not playing, and they're still discussing an extension with his reps. Obviously he didn't get what he wanted but I don't think this worked out too poorly for him.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20656257/new-orleans-saints-use-franchise-tage-qb-dree-brees

As Drew Brees heads into the final year on his contract, the Saints lack the ability to lock him into New Orleans with a tag.

Brees' contract contains a little-known, rarely-used clauses that prohibit the Saints from using their franchise tag on Brees, league sources told ESPN.

It doesn't mean Brees won't eventually re-sign with New Orleans, a city he loves and always will be connected to. But New Orleans lacks the flexibility to block him from leaving.

If Brees actually left, chances are it would be time for him to do it anyways.
