Michael Jordan's father was murdered a month after the 1993 Finals, I think it's wholly understandable for him to feel disconnected from the game and to want to follow his father's passion (baseball) in the wake of such personal tragedy

Funny how that story doesn't mention the murder of his father as a potential reason also. Personally I don't care about the personal lives of professional athlete's. Betting on sports is one thing, betting on the games you play is another. To think betting in general doesn't happen is very naive and this article tries to paint a picture which might not be true. This theory has been stated for a very long time.
