Mangiapane slapper goes top corner.
1-0 Heat!

Hathaway got an assist, I couldn't hear if a second assist was awarded

O'Regan ties it up, Heat turnover a d O'Regan takes to cross-slot pass and ties it up.

Not even a minute while I was typing that Hathaway scores to reinstate the lead

2-1 Heat. Mangiapane and maybe Janko with assists

First period is over. I won't be watching the second or third periods until after the Flames game.

Heat lead 2-1. Shots tied at 8.

The Heat lost 6-4 and Stockton's defense was very underwhelming last night and cost them the game. They was directly responsible for 3 of the 5 goals on Gilles. The third goal was the result of an awful giveaway, the fourth basically looked like a shootout with everyone else watching from the faceoff circle (I'm not even kidding, everyone was in the zone but Sorensen basically had a breakaway) and the 5th was a SH breakaway goal because of yet another awful Kylington giveaway.

For those wondering, the first goal against Gillies was a cross crease one-timer type goal and the 2nd was just a really nice deflection by O'Reagan.

Hathaway scored a goal. That goal could have been the difference between winning/losing/a point. The net was knocked off after the goal was scored. Bad refs said net was knocked off before goal was scored. Janko called them on their BS. And there you have it.

There is zero evidence that is the case. Especially since he was tossed when San Jose scored their empty netter almost a minute of game play later (more than 4 minutes in real time).

And the net was pretty clearly off before the puck was in to anyone with eyes, even Kisker who is the biggest homer and was privy to seeing replays said it was probably the right call.

it looks like it was part (i) but they never called a minor penalty first.

He skated by the official twice and said something, he wasn't even animated. It was one ofthe most surprising misconduct's I've ever witnessed in 30 years of watching hockey

Jankowski on a tear to start the season. I realize it has only been 2 games, but 3G 2A 5P - impressive start. It's still unfortunate he didn't make the team out of camp like most of us thought he should have, but it's good to see him go down to the heat with something to prove.

In the mean time Adam Ruzicka is having a great start to OHL season. In 7 games he has 7 goals and 12 points with +7 and 32 shots. On Monday he scored game winning goal in overtime. Four-times was honored as one of the 3 stars of the game.

Sometimes its what you say, not how you say it.
Regardless, according to the rules he should not have been given a misconduct without being given a 2 minute penalty first. That is why it was surprising, because there should have been a minor assigned and then be tossed if he continued with the verbal "abuse"

Another 4 points for Phillips tonight

Victoria is 7-0-0 to start their season and Phillips has been a big reason why
