now is the time for the deepest prospect pool in the NHL to promote itself to the big time and give us all, and Philadelphia, the big win!

We should all chip in and bet on the Flyers for the next 4 years to win it all. Win, and then leave these boards behind...

I have warned my wife that I am traveling to Philadelphia for the Stanley Cup parade.

My brother and I were thinking the same. Bet every year as it seems likely to happen. Pretty great timing for me to finally have season tickets that I've waited forever for too.

I was listening to Preston and Steve this am. They had Elliot on welcoming him to philly. Elliot specifically said one of the things that made Philly a spot he'd consider was knowing G, Jake and simmer. I say this because of some reactions on the main board to this signing. He is a good goalie and the best available. It sounded like he had several options. He himself said last year was rough with a new baby which I can relate to. He'll be a top 15 goalie this year.

I have a 13 month old now and I still havent adapted. Always tired. Harder to focus. Etc. Not surprised that both Elliott and Mason saw their play slip with newborns in the equation.

Chyna is/was the 9th wonder of the world

Was, she passed away in late 2016/early 2017. Had to sue Vincent to be called Chyna, The Rock is an exception of a wrestler keeping the gimmick name after wrestling. Did porn for a bit. Crazy life, young'ish death.

Hypothetical, if Dr Dre wants too much from Edmonton would you trade Couts as a main piece going back? This hypothetical is for next season

Yeah, probably. How much do we have to add though?

Gotta send a top end D, if Myers looking promising, it could be him.

I don't think Hextall wants to part with Sanheim, like at all.

Also, with the addition of Patrick the need for a potential 1C isn't as great. Puts Hextall is a better situation.

Agreed. Hextall would have the leverage which leads me to believe the Drai would be shipped elsewhere to someone more desperate.

I'd think so. There will be teams much more in line to play that game with Edmonton, now whether they have the bullets, that would remain to be seen.

Like Detroit would probably be heavy in that bidding war, but what exactly does Detroit have as far as prospects go?

Exactly. It's not about leverage or anything of that nature.

We have the pieces that would be most appealing I believe to them. High end defensive prospects plus a shut down center who excels at stopping top lines.

Was only a thought. Center depth of

Drai
Giroux
Patrick

That would look damn good. Especially with the top prospects we still have developing.

It wouldn't be quite as impressive as Crosby/Malkin, those guys are in another league, but if Patrick develops to a 70 pt player, Draisitl and Patrick would be an absolute nightmare pairing for a decade.

Pair that with the fact that Crosby and malkin are also getting up in age and it could set us up perfectly in the future.
