JBo was probably never going to be traded.
As was mentioned earlier in the thread, our best hope for next season with both the cap and the floor increasing is moving him to someone like Arizona that will need help getting to the floor. Even then, he'll have to agree to waive his NTC.

Well this increases our chances for falling into the top 10 draft picks. I hope this provides a chance for us to also get a look at Jake Walman.

For the all the people that lump Bouwmeester into our people who don't put full effort in, every time he talks about this team or reacts to us losing, I just don't see it. He might not be very good anymore, but I don't question for a second he works as hard as possible. He wants a Cup, badly.

Agreed. He just doesn't have it right now due to repeated lower body injuries. He needs to get healthy.

I'm not sure that'll ever happen. He's taken a lot of lower body injuries in the past couple of years that have hurt his best skill set. His skating. Also factor in that Gunnar was sub 30 years old when he had his hip surgery and JBo is already 34 and turns 35 in Sept.

Well they say it is very common for players to lose weight during the season. Unless you are Tarasenko and you gain weight.

Impossible, that guy is Gumby. Philly fans said it was impossible to break him.
The same fans who labeled him a PP specialist who can’t play center, while our PP has somehow gotten worse and he’s playing like a legit 1C...?

Welp, guess Schenn is dead. It was fun while it lasted. :sarcasm:

Not trying to speculate about what transpired but looks like Blues had to bring Blais back up and put him on IR. His transaction from STL to SA on AHL’s website has been removed.

Superstition time: Bouwmeester's return a few months ago marked the beginning of the downward spiral that we have today. Blues were firing on all cylinders up to that point and winning games. I hate the fact that he is hurt and would never wish an injury on anyone, but is it possible that he is the bad luck charm?

No. I’m sorry, but JBow came back the night the Blues destroyed the Oilers 8-3. Oilers were completely shocked hearing he came back.

Now if you want to replace Bouwmeester with Berglund. Then I approve.

I guess this is the best thread to post this. But here is an interview with Zach Sanford in San Antonio today that JR shared, talking about his injury a bit and his recovery.

Today marks 4 months since Fabbri had his 2nd surgery. So that gives him another six months and ~1 week until 18/19 main camp starts. Blues need those ligaments to be really strong by then.

I think the Blues should take a completely different approach to Fabbri's return this time. Let him find his game in the AHL (or even ECHL -beer league- for a small amount of time). Then, when one of the youngsters inevitably proves they need more AHL seasoning, bring him up for keeps.
