It's going to be funny to see Hextall draft 2 1st rounders, and then move up again with his 2nd to get the 3rd guy he wants.

:handclap:

Living in Halifax, we have 3 potential 1st rounder prospects for 2018 draft as well as possibly the top goalie.

The Flyers didn't get a Moosehead this year, which was find by me, but maybe next year.

Zadina, McIsaac, Groulx, Gravel.

I ****ing hope that St Louis goes 11th for the draft. If so, they can't defer. And this is going to be a strong draft (supposedly).

STL is more then likely a 2nd round exit. The most optimistic person would say that the following teams can be better then STL. More then likely 4 of the following teams will have a better record

Edm
Nas
Cal
Ana
Chi
Min
SJ
LA
Win

Zadina is definitely coming over? That team is stacked if he does. Jeez.

Yeah, I would think that they would build on their modest playoff success this year. I would have Edmonton, Chicago, Anaheim, and Nashville and being better. I have Calgary, Minnesota, SJ in their grouping.

So they would have the camp days on the Saturday and Sunday, and possibly play the the Islanders rookies on the Monday. They played a rookie game last year, and the Isles are the only other east coast team not playing in a prospect tournament.

Most, if not all, NHL teams will put their prospects to the test in one of a number of tournaments in September. As of mid-July, 27 teams are slated to participate in a prospects tournament. There is no information regarding plans for the New York Islanders or Philadelphia Flyers.

Still no dates for training camp?

The announcement is usually made in early September. Somewhere the indication was an unofficial target date of September 15, after rookie camp concludes but that is not confirmed.

Rookie camp roster:

The rookie game is September 13, so the rookies should be reporting within a few days before that. The first real preseason game is the following Sunday and they typically are only in for a couple days prior to that, so I'd think it would be about September 14-15.

They ran a pre-launch promo, not sure what the price is now for it.
