Our last man standing is Colin White. Now I have to cheer for the USA so we have a prospect in the Gold medal game.

Sweden has a policy that they cant name anyone under 19 years old as the 3 best players. Otherwise Nylander and Timashov would have gotten it for this year.

Last year the same thing happened with William Nylander when he was their leading scorer and wasn't named the 3 best players of the tournament for them.

Probably chosen top 3 for his play over the whole tourney but this wasn't Englund's best game. Even his big hit could have easily been called for boarding plus he was holding a lot on his other shifts before he got called. He's fast enough skating all out but in tight most big guys have trouble against shifty fast players and the Finns looked every bit of that today.

cant remember voices but they
Just called Englund a Calgary prospect.... LOL

don't think he said much after that

Is there a trade we don't know about yet. ... he said hopefully!!

Wasn't Nylander injured for most of the Tournament? How do you vote him the best player of the tournament when he's been out of action nearly the whole thing?

edit: just realised you were talking about the younger brother Nylander... my bad

...might be on purpose. Russia loves to play possum and lure teams to sleep.

It's been the most frustrating team to watch so far.

They have so much talent, they could've easily tied this game if they worked a little harder but it's like they don't care. Just like the game against Slovakia or the game against the Czechs.

If they lose it won't be because of lack of talent.

Russia always does that. They'll sit back and let a goalie go cold while eating up the clock, then go full throttle in the last few minutes for the (almost) guaranteed goal(s). It's been in their playbook for decades.
