I have my theory on the slippery dirt. Once upon a time, this park was called Enron Field. Enron, as everyone knows, was an oil company. After their scam came crashing down and they folded, they had nothing to do with some of the leftover oil they had, so in an act of pettiness, they slicked the field permanently with said oil.
