I'm headed out for a while. Won't be back before the game starts, so wanted to open this now.

At the moment I don't see the other normal jays thread mods active on the TML board, so if you don't see Mapes or Bert or JC Numminen or any of the guys who have been around to watch the threads lately, be sure to use the report feature if you find inappropriate posts. That way another outside mod will be alerted and it can be dealt with appropriately.

Also Jays have allowed runs in the first inning 4 times, opposition has scored first 6 times, including every single home game. The Jays have won two of those game.

Shutting down the top of that order early will be key tonight.

I like what Zaun said, with guys like Escobar Estrada is going to have to pitch in more often..all those guys look way too comfortable at the plate.

it would be nice if we could play with a lead. Feels like the team has been chasing while at home through all the home games in the playoffs. When we were successful in the regular season at home we had starting pitching that would put up zeros and hitters that would put the game away the 2nd or 3rd time through the order. You can't keep falling behind as it puts added pressure on your pitcher and makes the hitters feel like they have to get everything back with one swing.
