I have been high on the Islanders all year, I think JT is going to reach a whole new level, also Halak has had playoff success before. Also Pekka Rinne, I think he is good enough to carry the Preds out of the Western Conference.
Honestly, I hope you're right about the Isles. I always had a bit of a soft spot for them because when I was a kid I liked reading/hearing about Mike Bossy and also thought their Fisherman logo was the most original thing. That said though, I think Capuano is a bad coach, and that he's holding that team back from going deep in the playoffs. I'll gladly eat crow if the Isles go far, though.
As for the Preds, I think Rinne is capable of stealing a series, but I don't think it'll be against Chicago. As Forsberg has cooled down since the all-star break, the whole team has kind of cooled a bit as well. I just don't think they'll be able to handle the more experienced Hawks, even if they're without Kane. I'm open to being surprised and will personally be cheering for the Preds to come out of that series, as well.
