I agree with a lot of your picks, Ward, except:

OA: Kevin Labanc (hard to argue with his success this year)

Most outstanding: I have a better chance of winning this puppy than Marner has of losing it.

Coach: Knoblauch deserves a lot of credit, but so do McFarland and Van Ryn. But I think it's Knoblauch's to lose.

Probably right on Labanc, dunno why I had as the Outstanding Player but not the best OA player??? :(

Tough one for me was goalie, I gave it to Williams due to his consistency throughout the season. Not really a bumper crop pf nominees this season

I like your picks Ward but I'm still struggling with Marner over Dvorak from London. I would have given the edge to Dvorak. Can they co-share an award?
Berisha to me is by far the best OA - can't see him not getting this. Not sure if he is signed yet but I'm sure some team will send an opportunity his way.

I agree with Labanc as the top Overager. Also agree Dvorak should have been the nominee for London instead of Marner. To me though, the most Outstanding player this year was Mike Amadio of NB.
And my homer pick is Parsons for top Goalie.

Just my opinion....but...

kinda sad that Nick Suzuki was not included....led all UNDERAGE players in goals....a true rookie in my mind unlike 17 and 18 year old players..

but a great list none the same

How did Rasmus Andersson not get nominated for defenceman of the year? He probably would have been my pick to win it. Anyways, here are my picks:

Rookie of the Year: Alex Nylander
Overage Player of the Year: Kevin Labanc
Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year: Christian Dvorak
Coach of the Year: Kris Knoblauch
Goaltender of the Year: Tyler Parsons
Defenceman of the Year: Travis Dermott
Most Outstanding Player of the Year (Red Tilson): Kevin Labanc

Also, it's absolute ******* if Knoblauch doesn't win coach of the year. Imo he should have won the past two seasons, now he has won 50 games for the 3rd straight season. And Erie is tops in the league despite being a relatively young team (10th youngest team in the league with an average age of 18.38)

Also they aren't winning they way they have the past 2 years. Knoblauch has adapted his style to his team. He certainly deserves it, I'm with ya there

Rookie of year: Dipietro
Overage: Labanc
Most sportsmanlike: Amadio
Coach of year: Knoblauch
Goalie: Ned or Williams
- this category is the toughest. Williams was so consistent and strong early until about end of January and injuries on defense with cernak/Byrne and dermott plus Fergus illnesses and suspensions hurt his numbers. People will overlook him a bit now but he was in my view the best goalie for most of the early year. If not for so many defenders being out late in year his numbers would have stayed up higher in my view. Ned has been very good lately. I personally would go Williams because of the consistency but I dont think he wins

Defender: Dermott
Most outstanding player: would have gone Dvorak but he isn't here so I'll go Labanc

2015-16 OHL Award Finalists:

Michael DiPietro (Windsor Spitfires)
Max Jones (London Knights)
Boris Katchouk (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds)
Alex Nylander (Mississauga Steelheads)
Matthew Strome (Hamilton Bulldogs)

This is one is the closest award. Can go in any direction. Can make case for DiPietro or Dineen.

Overage Player of the Year / Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy Finalists:
Aaron Berisha (London Knights)
Jack Flinn (Mississauga Steelheads)
Hunter Garlent (Peterborough Petes)
Gabe Guertler (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds)
Kevin Labanc (Barrie Colts)
Devin Williams (Erie Otters)

Labanc should win this one running away.

Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year / William Hanley Trophy Finalists:
Mike Amadio (North Bay Battalion)
Eric Cornel (Peterborough Petes)
Christian Dvorak (London Knights)
Taylor Raddysh (Erie Otters)
Blake Speers (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds)
Spencer Watson (Kingston Frontenacs)

Take your pick. Dvorak over Amadio or Watson.

Coach of the Year / Matt Leyden Trophy Finalists:
Stan Butler (North Nay Battalion)
Dale Hawerchuk (Barrie Colts)
Kris Knoblauch (Erie Otters)
Paul McFarland (Kingston Frontenacs)
Rocky Thompson (Windsor Spitfires)
Mike Van Ryn (Kitchener Rangers)

Knoblauch is overdue.

Goaltender of the Year Award Finalists:
Mackenzie Blackwood (Barrie Colts)
Michael McNiven (Owen Sound Attack)
Alex Nedeljkovic (Niagara IceDogs)
Tyler Parsons (London Knights)
Jake Smith (North Bay Battalion)
Devin Williams (Erie Otters)

This is another close one. Since voting takes place before the playoffs give it to Williams.

Defenceman of the Year / Max Kaminsky Trophy Finalists:
Jakob Chychrun (Sarnia Sting)
Travis Dermott (Erie Otters)
Cam Dineen (North Bay Battalion)
Roland McKeown (Kingston Frontenacs)
Mikhail Sergachev (Windsor Spitfires)
Mitchell Vande Sompel (Oshawa Generals)

When in doubt go with the highly rated drafted player.

Most Outstanding Player of the Year / Red Tilson Trophy Finalists:
Barrie – Kevin Labanc
Erie – Devin Williams
Flint – Will Bitten
Guelph – James McEwan
Hamilton – Niki Petti
Kingston – Roland McKeown
Kitchener – Ryan MacInnis
London – Mitch Marner
Mississauga – Alex Nylander
Niagara – Jordan Maletta
North Bay – Mike Amadio
Oshawa – Anthony Cirelli
Ottawa – Leo Lazarev
Owen Sound – Santino Centorame
Peterborough – Hunter Garlent
Saginaw – Mitchell Stephens
Sarnia – Pavel Zacha
Sault Ste. Marie – Zach Senyshyn
Sudbury – Dmitry Sokolov
Windsor – Christian Fischer

Dvorak should have been the Knights nominee and Labanc should be one of the favourites but this is the only award voted on by the media so Marner will win it.

Labanc definitely for OA of the year. Any way Amadio surprises and wins MOP?

I'm expecting it.

He carried that team on his back all year. He was phenomenal in both ends of the ice and scoring 50 playing in Stan Butler's system was a feat in itself. Marner and Labanc had great years themselves but they played on some pretty good teams.

Red Tilson - Mitch Marner
Rookie of the Year - Alex Nylander
Overage Player of the Year - Kevin Lebanc
Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year - Christian Dvorak
Coach of the Year - Kris Knoblouch
Defenseman of the Year - Roland McKeown
Goaltender of the Year - Devin Williams

Not particularly who I want to win, but who I think will win the following awards.

I really hope Knoblauch wins Coach of the year. I don't care if Erie wins another individual award, but Knoblauch deserves this one. He's an absolute gem of a coach and every day he spends in the OHL is a lucky one because he is not long for this league.

ROY - DiPietro - he was a rock for Windsor. Without him, it's interesting.

OA - Lebanc - tremendous season.
Sportsmanlike - Dvorak - why not?
Coach - Knoblauch - 50 wins for three-straight seasons is tough. I could argue Thompson, too, but his time will come.
Goalie - Williams - It's between him and Ned.
DMan - Dermott - again, why not?
Outstanding - Lebanc.

Tough to see Labanc winning the Red Tilson over Marner, in all honesty.

Rookie - Nylander
Overage Player - Labanc
Coach - Knoblauch
Goaltending - Ned
Defenseman - Dermott
Outstanding Player - Marner
