Cause his team was not qualified for the playoff and finished season yesterday. But he didnt play last games cause he was not good enough to be in squad. Reason was he wasnt in good shape (lack of competition) and bit too slow.

That's the Latvian B team more or less. Some would belong to the C team or worse. Don't get me wrong, it still has a bunch of players from the main team, but you shouldn't read too much into that list.

KriÅ¡jānis Rēdlihs (KHL/Riga Dinamo) has joined the training camp and the GM Baldonieks has sort of implied that Karsums might actually join the national team later, which would be great news and a huge improvement considering the severe lack of quality physical forwards (Kenins in the NHL, Girgensons injured, Pavlovs DSQ).

It probably also means that guys like Bajaruns (Denmark) or A. Ozolins (Kazakhstan) might get a chance on the 4th/3rd line this year.

By the way, I wonder if Baldonieks has contacted Eddy Rinke-Leitans. He would be a really useful addition to our bottom 6.

With Bartulis, Redlihs, Sotnieks, Galvins and a couple of semi-decent depth guys available (Cibulskis, Jass, Sevcenko, etc.) we should be fine. If Kulda recovers in time, we're actually going to be better than usual at the World Champs in terms of our defense.

I don't think you realize that both Blugers and Jevpalovs are not going to be available, barring a miracle.

You've also included 3 juniors with no pro experience in the line-up, which just isn't going to happen.

Cibulskis is not a top pairing D. Galvins and Jass aren't going to play together. You've also forgotten about K. Redlihs, who's probably going to quarterback our first PP unit.
