It's funny Stevie Y already expressed his cop out during his opening speech saying the competition is much better. When we finish out of the medal round, it wont be because of selection. It will be because of the "tougher" competition. Ridiculous. How can you say there are 14 better Canadian forwards than Giroux? MSL? E. Staal?

Carter, Nash, Marleau, Kunitz and Benn should not be on this hockey team.

this

best roster on paper and its not close

The team is STACKED but it could have been even better.

Any two of MSL, Thornton, Giroux, and Eric Staal make this team better than Nash and Carter.

I can understand not picking Hall because he's inexperienced.

I would have preferred St. Louis over Nash. Other than that, I have no problem with the team. There were going to be omissions.

Nash is baffling, having not so great of a season and there is far better players. Size isnt as much a factor on international ice. I value skating much much higher

One more thing about Carter, he will give Canada the speed factor and he is a surprisingly good defensive forward and PK'er, my guess is they play him on the RW.

It is not a career achievement award. It about putting together the best team together for 6-7 games in Sochi, Russia in February 2014.

Thornton and St. Louis, as old as they are, are still better players now than some of the players named.

I'm not buying into the "Couture was left off due to injury" BS either. Stamkos is injured and he made it.
