Very simple, make one bold prediction for each of the teams. We'll bump this thread a year from now, and see who got what right.

Anaheim: Getzlaf and Perry return to the point per game pace, Perry scores 40+.
Boston: The loss of Peverly, Horton, and Seguin hurt. Boston makes the playoffs, but don't get home ice advantage in the first round.
Buffalo: Grigorenko proves his critics wrong, Sabres nearly make the playoffs.
Calgary: Baertschi is a Calder finalist.
Carolina: Semin puts up 80+ points.
Chicago: Toews has a very underwhelming season. 50-60 points.
Colorado: Finishes a few points out of the playoffs.
Columbus: Bobrovsky takes a step back, finishes in the bottom 10.
Dallas: Seguin and Benn are ****ing magical together.
Detroit: Misses the playoffs
Edmonton: Advances to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Florida: Huberdeau puts up 70+ points.
Los Angeles: Doughty is a Norris finalist.
Minnesota: Finishes with 100+ points
Montreal: Briere puts up 50+ points.
Nashville: Major lack of offense, coach is finally fired.
New Jersey: Brodeur loses the starting job, Schneider takes them to the playoffs.
Islanders: Tavares scores 50+ goals.
Rangers: After the coaching change, they go to the conference finals.
Ottawa: Lehner becomes the starter, Anderson is mentioned in trade talks.
Philadelphia: Lecavalier and Mason do very well, Flyers make the playoffs.
Phoenix: Doan is finally traded to a contender.
Pittsburgh: Issues with goaltending and the loss of several key players results in a near miss of the playoffs.
San Jose: They make the conference finals.
St.Louis: They'll win the Presidents Trophy, but will be eliminated in the first round.
Tampa Bay: With Vinny finally being dealt, Tampa finds themselves out near the deadline, and MSL is traded... to Philly.
Toronto: Goes to the 2nd round of the playoffs, nearly finishes first in their division.
Vancouver: Luongo has a stellar year, but the Sedins play poorly under Tortorella.
Washington: Ovechkin takes a step back again.
Winnipeg: Ladd puts up 70+ points.

I know a lot of these are very... of the board, but that's the point.

I'll stick with the Flames if that's ok.

1) Stemps is traded just before the regular season due to congestion in the forward position, while Cammy nd Stajan are traded at the deadline

2) Nieuwendyk is named president of hockey operations

3) Abby wins the Calder

4) Flames are dead last in the league

Anaheim: Hiller has a great season, Perry and Getzlaf score 70+ points
Boston: Dougie Hamilton will have a breakout season, Iginla and Bruins won't win Cup but will return to finals
Buffalo: Hodgson breaks out as Buffalo's undisputed #1 center, Buffalo still misses playoffs
Calgary: Baertschi is a Calder finalist, Ramo is decent but not enough to guide Calgary out of the bottom 5.
Carolina: Skinner has a rebound season, staying healthy and posting 60+ points
Chicago: Crawford doesn't follow up on amazing season, Hawks still win division
Colorado: MacKinnon overtakes Stastny in the top 6, Stastny gets dealt
Columbus: Bobrovsky does good, but not as good. Columbus misses playoffs again.
Dallas: Seguin and Benn are ****ing magical together (Agreed). Dallas actually makes playoffs.
Detroit: Makes the playoffs as a wild card
Edmonton: Makes playoffs, Hall scores 40+ goals, loses in first round
Florida: Huberdeau wins the Calder Trophy. (This already happened, lol).
Los Angeles: Kopitar wins Selke, Kings make long playoff run but not to the Finals
Minnesota: Finishes with 100+ points, Granlund is a Calder finalist
Montreal: Gallagher won't follow up on rookie performance, Montreal misses playoffs
Nashville: Jones is good, not good enough for Calder nomination
New Jersey: Brodeur loses the starting job, Schneider takes them to the playoffs.
Islanders: Tavares scores 50+ goals, Islanders miss playoffs
Rangers: Win the east, but don't go far in playoffs
Ottawa: Bobby Ryan and Jason Spezza are ****ing magical together, Ottawa challenges for top of East
Philadelphia: Lecavalier and Mason do very well, Flyers make the playoffs.
Phoenix: Yotes return to form, make playoffs. Ribeiro has 50-60 points.
Pittsburgh: Pens won't be as strong, but will be a good team.
San Jose: They miss the playoffs.
St.Louis: They will win the Stanley Cup. I WENT THERE.
Tampa Bay: TB surprises, but are eliminated from contention on last day
Toronto: Goes to the 2nd round of the playoffs, loses a close series.
Vancouver: Luongo has a stellar year, but the Sedins play poorly under Tortorella.
Canucks lose in the first round again.
Washington: Ovechkin scores 50 goals
Winnipeg: Ladd puts up 70+ points, Kane puts up 80+ points, Jets make playoffs

Stanley Cup Champions: St. Louis Blues
Runners-up: Boston Bruins

Half of these won't happen, but that's the fun of it.. right? :)

He said bold predictions

That's about as bold as it comes.

Gretzky comes out of retirement, forms his own team called the New York Yankees that consists solely of him. Yankees win the Stanley Cup, sign Nail Yakupov to a 46,000,000,000,000,000,000 dollar contract (U.S.) over 30 years between the second and third period of the final game of the Cup.

Yankees move to Medicine Hat at the end of the year.

In all honesty, though...

Anaheim: Anaheim has an underwhelming year and is eliminated as the eighth seed during the playoffs
Boston: Boston wins another Stanley Cup. Much discussion about whether their dynasty or Chicago's is better
Buffalo: After finishing dead last, Buffalo loses yet another coach
Calgary: Team is racked by injuries, MacDonald is the starting goaltender
Carolina: Staal nearly wins the Art Ross Trophy
Chicago: Somewhat weak year for the Hawks, but they still make the playoffs
Colorado: Colorado makes the playoffs but loses to Minnesota
Columbus: After a poor season, Bobrovsky heads to the KHL
Dallas: Seguin never recovers scoring ability and stays a defensive two-way player, but is the best player in Dallas
Detroit: Alfredsson + Datsyuk is underwhelming
Edmonton: Hall plays a full season and scores 97 points, a great year from him and RNH leads the Oilers into the playoffs
Florida: Florida doesn't make the playoffs but doesn't bomb
Los Angeles: Kings lose in game seven against the Bruins
Minnesota: Makes it into the Western semifinals
Montreal: One of the best teams in the east
Nashville: Barry Trotz is fired
New Jersey: Brodeur announces retirement at the end of the season
Islanders: Tavares is injured early in the season
Rangers: Vigneault doesn't fit with the Rangers
Ottawa: Ottawa challenges for the top of the East but poor defense drags them down
Philadelphia: Flyers finish around 11th in the East
Phoenix: Mike Smith challenges for the Vezina
Pittsburgh: Crosby dominates in first full season in a while, but the Penguins lose in the Eastern Conference finals
San Jose: Begins rebuilding at the deadline
St. Louis: Bouwmeester traded again at the deadline
Tampa Bay: Bishop leads Tampa Bay to success but not playoffs
Toronto: Goes to the 2nd round of the playoffs, loses a close series
Vancouver: Luongo does well but is not considered for the Olympics
Washington: Defensive core broken up at deadline
Winnipeg: Jets make the playoffs but lose to St. Louis

Calgary - Glencross leads team in points and to the playoffs. Backlund breaks out in a big way in all 82 games. Sven wins the Calder. Ramo plays lights out. Gio up for Norris. Hartley wins coach of the year.
