There's a thread in this forum called "Bobby Ryan: An Interesting Life" where there is an article about his horrible life as a young child, and the posters and I also discuss his skills and NHL chances.

Always a pleasure...

well, christoph gawlik is germany's outstanding junior player like in Canada Sidney Crosby. Currently he's fast growing cound finally reach 6-1. Amazing stickhandler, an above average skater, very good scoring touch and a leader. Played amazing with a poor german team in canada this year. His club, the manheim eagels of DEL expect him to be a regular next season. Top-scorer in the DLN( german junior hockey league) with 10 games less than the second ranked player.

top 5 potential

God, I really hope for Germany's sake that you are not hyping this kid too much!

I really get my hopes up!

Dan Bertram - Offensive player, smallish, going NCAA.
Jean-Philippe Levasseur - Decent size, extremely quick butterfly goalie.
Bobby Ryan - Good size and all around offensive player
Daniel Ryder - Smaller than his older brother and plays a more finesse game.
Vitaly Anikeenko - I believe he is a big russian dman
Christoph Gawlik - German kid, heard he stole the show at the U17
Chris Durand - Offensive player, plays for Seattle (WHL) i believe.
J-P Paquet - Big two way dman, a lot of upside.

Daniel Bertram is a highly-skilled, fast, flashy offensive player, whose downside is size/frame and an unwillingness to really fight through checks, etc, (at this point anyways).

Have you ever stood next to Rabbit? I'm 5'11" and he was no more than 1 inch shorter than me.

That's like me saying that Gilbert Brule is 5'7".
Want proof? I'm pretty sure that Brian Rafalski is 6'2".

Hey folks. I posted this on the other 2005 thread, but thought I'd ask here too. Anyone know about this Churilov guy who (I believe) plays for Metallurg II in Russia? I know he's an '87 born kid, is about 6'1" 176, and has about 80 pts in 30 games in the junior Metallurg ranks. I don't have any first hand knowledge, however. :help: Seems like a whole lot of offense for Russian leagues. There are a few good looking "prospects" on that team just looking at the numbers...
