Kinkaid has been great in this game, from what I've seen.

Nick Lappin with the Mike Sislo breakaway attempt.

Kinkaid even last season seemed to always face 40 plus shots.... isles goalie played well, granted against ahl talent

All I know is that Barzal made Lovejoy look like he should consider retirement. Lovejoy can complain all he want's about being picked. However, you could see no matter what, Barzal was going to blaze right by him. He took a terrible angle and Barzal was skating like a bullet and made him look so silly. SORRY, WRONG THREAD.

He wasn't hurt by contact. Either he hit a rut in the ice, or just was an unlucky pull

Those non-contact injuries are scary, often they end up being worse than direct contact injuries. Hopefully it's something that's only a few weeks so he can go down to juniors and dominate.

If the Islander wasn't there, Lovejoy would've had the chance to challenge him at the blue line.

He could've still gotten walked around, but there's a good chance he would've forced Barzal to dump it or get rid of the puck.

Didn't Tavares get hurt because of that **** ice? Weren't all the isles players really pissed st the horrible ice condition?

Yes and there may well have been ice problems given the 95 degree weather and the polar cold inside that caused Chris Ryan's phone to freeze :P

Just wanted to say that despite Lappin hitting Greiss right in the chest with his breakaway attempt - he was all over the ice last night and clearly our best player not named Severson.

Blandisi was very good too.
