I was at Prudential for the Sunday Penguins game. He was actually a little noticeable in person. Decent skater, it seemed like he was working hard, and he was around the puck enough to where I had to ask the Devils fans I was at the game with “who is that?”. (tbh partly bc I just didn’t recognize the number). Type of performance that definitely could’ve just been adrenaline though. Wasn’t anything special. But still, he didn’t look out of place and I noticed him in a positive way.
Take it with a grain of salt though bc I was watching from Pens POV. And I think the coach scratched him the next night, so what do I know lol
Anyway, saw the thread pop up on the home page and thought I’d add my two cents. Hoping the future pans out for y’all. Better you guys take over the division post Ovi/Sid than the Rags or Flyers
"Speers has improved and has an outside chance of developing into a NHL player.
I don't see Bastian ever getting there, lack of foot speed and limited skills.
I never liked the Bastian pick with Abramov, Dahlen and Kuokk, etc still on the board and said it at the time.
hope Stud adds weight and strength so he can use his high end skill and speed at the next level."
"I actually have few criticisms of Castron thus far.
Bastian and Senn were bad picks and I'm on the fence with Mikey too.
But he's killing it otherwise including the promising Studenic "
The irony in all this is every single skater we took in the 2016 draft has record points in the NHL lol. Studenic has potential imo in the mold of Grabner. I don't think he will ever hit that level but certainly a Grabner light if you will. The guy can absolutely fly and score some off the rush and being opportunistic off NZ turnovers. His shot is relatively solid imo.@Bleedred
Omg...I just scrolled through this page and saw the Immortalized DD :
And
Well that certainly aged well.
Though I'm sure he might have been pleased that the Devils got Kuokk in the end.
Anyway, getting back on-topic.
I loved Stud's shot there and want to see more. MOAR!!

Did Blake Speers record points? I don't think he ever got a call-up or did I remember wrong?
EDIT : nevermind. He was in the 2015 draft, not 2016.
But Gignac recorded a point?
Can he kill penalties ? That is potentially worth its weight in gold for this team. Even Grabner-light as you said. The irony in all this is every single skater we took in the 2016 draft has record points in the NHL lol. Studenic has potential imo in the mold of Grabner. Your right I missed Gigniac I suck!He made the team out of training camp his first year here (at like 19) and put up a few points. Then he sucked and was ruined for life by Hynes and Co.
Edit: or no points it seems lmao
I think so. To what level in the NHL I have no clue. Can
