The effort wasn't good enough at all. Third period was good, but too little too late. Caps played a heck of a game though. Absolutely smothered us whenever we got into the offensive zone. It was impressive.

52 shots by Caps - 51 shots by Bolts for the whole game. Domination by 1 shot. Ok :D

Too bad we couldn't just press start and see the time on attack eh. That would paint a better picture for how bad we were for 40 mins.

Lol whatever. Keep being a blind homer. We sucked tonight.
I am also a Caps fan, but Tampa is my clear favorite one since Sergachev joined this year. Simply because now Bolts have more Russians than Caps

But my whole point is that the final result is not always directly related to amount of effort you put in a game. There is also a luck and an opposite team effort. The amount of effort that Tampa put today was good enough to win. We should've just scored our chances we had. That was a bad luck.

This was a terrific, full spectrum loss. We left without a point, and made the game as dull as possible. Lazy, lazy, lazy, predictable, uninspired play from everyone tonight. I'd say they all got into the Thanksgiving spirit(s) yesterday.

There certainly seems like there has been a lack of effort from the players recently. Majority of them just look lazy. If it wasn’t for vas we would have lost by more. Starting to get tired with the players coming out with the standard line of “ they were the hungrier team”.cooper hit the nail on the head with he’s comments after the game.

I think we miss Dotchin. Hedman has looked awful. Not just because he's missing Dotchin but he's just making more mistakes lately. Ugh Sustr. Can we please just waive him already? Nobody wants to trade for him. Kucherov has looked off lately too. Long season we were bound to run into a little skid at some point. Have to be better though and can't make this a habit.

Shots and scoring chances looked about even by the end, but that was a very lazy game on our part. Great first few shifts that led to a goal and then we just let the Caps assert their will. I notice we have a lot of problems when teams send 2 guys in deep on the forecheck. It can be beaten easily with quick passes on the breakout, but we struggle with that.

Coop once again says the right thing in the post-game, but let's see if it translates to results on the ice.

Sustr pinches EVERY play, whether it calls for it or not. It's odd - and he's not fast enough to cover when he gets caught.

Makes it even more frustrating that he did not score. This game was actually better for him than the Hawks game where he had 2 points in that one. He needs to work on his mechanics and trying to take more shots. He missed the net by a quarter of an inch on that play. But I really have loved his play the last few games. So am happy.
