JON COOPER: "Both (Tomkins and Johansson) have played really well. We gave up 4 the other night, but Tommer was great in that game, and Jo was great again tonight. In the end it starts with our team defense, and then he's made some big saves tonight on the penalty kill. It's part of our process. Just trying to get better as a team, and the goalie is definetely doing his part."
"You sit here now and say hey it's great, you're winning some games in the preseason, but we've gone plenty of preseasons where we didn't win many games and then came out and had some great regular seasons. The preseason is the preseason. Everybody's trying to get their feet wet, and figure out their game and their timing. Is it nice to walk away with wins? It is, but you really want to walk away with your health and your game in order. So far we've made some great strides in that way. In the end our power play has scored some goals for us, our pk's kept them out, our goaltending has been solid. It'd be nice to get a little more 5-on-5 offense going. Again, you're looking at other guys. Eventually in these last 2 games we'll get closer to what we might think is our opening day lineup, but if I'm looking at the games we've played so far, the guys have done a hell of a job and they're really played hard. So that's a really good sign."
"It's hard to kind of pin point certain guys. We're probably going to have to send some guys down, or whatever the number is going to have to be, and it's going to be extremely difficult. Everybody's making a case for themselves to stay. In the end it probably will come down to a little bit of chemistry on where guys fit in, but we have a couple more guys left to iron that out. It's a good problem to have when guys are pushing for spots and making it really difficult on the coaching staff."
