[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I love the Rangers, my wife and I love New York, and there’s no place else that I want to play, but I understand the business side of it.
I know that if you’re an expensive player, you have to perform. If you don’t, you could be moved. I knew that.
And I appreciate the fact that they didn’t trade me and had the confidence to bring me back.
- Rick Nash

It's good to see a couple chances go in. Me and Hayes have been playing together for pretty much all the games.
We've had some looks but haven't quite gotten any, so it's good to see some success.
We spent some good time in their end and obviously Grabs was making some plays. That's going to help.
- J.T. Miller

There’s no doubt that we displayed our speed.
Mind you, they have a lot of speed, too. Maybe the back-to-back for them was a factor.
- Alain Vigneault

If i had just one hockey wish.......it would be that we could somehow have kept Yandle. Just imagine how dynamic he would've been with this group of forwards. In the word of the immortal John Lennnon......imagine.

Now, lets go hand a loss to the Blues that they shouldve received 2 weeks ago. 5-2 sounds nice.

IMO, there should NEVER be a day where there is not at least ONE game on the schedule. What if you have no life , and all you care about is watching hockey? The ratings should be good, right?

So, 9 games in and not ONE fighting major. Not ONE !!!

Has anybody seen Derek Stepan?

Again, don't take penalties against the Blues and you'll be fine. We're not facing them on the tail end of 3 out of 4 games. They won't sit back and die like they did last time.

Has anybody seen Derek Stepan?

Yeah, he's been the guy driving play at both ends of the ice, centering out top line, all while taking the toughest competition.

We don't pay him 8 billion dollars to "take on the toughest competition"

we pay him to produce while playing a two way game.

I didnt realize Stepan was making so much...

This is a ludicrous comment. He has been incredibly important to the success of our PK and matching up against the best Centers in the league. You do realize he is centering Vesey and Nash who have been horses? Or do you just read the stat line after each game to come to your conclusions?

Is this the latest fad?

Stepan has been excellent all over the ice from the get go, and as big a contributor to his line and team's success early on as anyone on the roster. I doubt Vesey's transition would be so smooth or we'd witness "rejuvenation" of Nash without Stepan.

We've had players who have scored more PPG then they will end up with and players who have scored less.

Stepan just happens to be one of the only forwards to be having a slower start offensively. It will all even out over time. We're not going to have 11 20 goal scorers.

This is a good hockey team we're playing tonight. Will be a tough test as they know our system now.

Our 4th line is in danger of turning into a Wolski-Christensen-Zuccarello island of misfit shootout specialists, though.

I mean, his line is producing. Vesey and Nash are both scoring and that line has looked fantastic. Are people really upset with Stepan's play?

I think he looks perfectly fine, has taken the tough matchups and looked great on the PK and in the D zone at 5v5. He has 5 assists in 9 games. Soon the puck will start going in for him and he'll have 20 pts in 15 games or something like that. We see it every year from Stepan. Always looks quiet and then all of the sudden you realize he's been PPG for 25 games.
