7 goals compared to 20 from the defenses. On track for 13-14 for the year. That has to be a record if it happens. I hope Gudbranson ruins Kadri’s face

Canucks never win at the ACC on Hockey Night in Canada....my guess is 7-4 TO....hoping for a couple from Boeser.....Leafs will be shooting at Markstom from every angle, hoping for another couple of cheap ones...been a long time since the Canuck goaltending has been this big of a question mark.

We'll lose and then go on to lose the rest of the games in the season and drop down to the 3rd pick in the lottery draft with our luck

2018 is the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Stanley Cup Finals between the Vancouver Millionaires and the Toronto Arenas -- the first Stanley Cup Final in NHL history, and the current Leafs organization's first Stanley Cup Championship.

1918 Stanley Cup Finals - Wikipedia
The 1918 Stanley Cup Finals was contested by the National Hockey League (NHL) champion Toronto and the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) champion Vancouver Millionaires. In a series held entirely in Toronto, the Toronto team won the series by three games to two in the best-of-five game series to win the Stanley Cup. It was the first series contested by the new NHL and subsequently the first Stanley Cup win by the Toronto NHL franchise team.

Here's a cartoon from Page 8 of the March 19, 1918 edition of the Toronto World newspaper, on the eve of the 1918 Stanley Cup Finals.

Tanev to the Leafs is what I hear

Makes perfect sense.

Trade #8 which will be integral for tanking enough to draft the next "Great 8".... (see, I've already got him a bad ass nick name).

But truthishly, I wonder what the playground rules are with giving up numbers. I've seen guys give up their numbers for vets/more established players. But for a vet to give up a number to a rookie... albeit a "generational talent" before he's ever played a game in the NHL..... does that happen?

Boeser scores a goal in the 1st.

Boeser is traded to Toronto during the break

Boeser scores 3 for Toronto in the 2nd period

During the 2 break NHL realises Jim failed on the paperwork and the trade is cancelled

Boeser scores 1 goal

Boeser scores 5 for the game, Canucks lose 2-3
For fun, Can you explain the cap implications in this scenario?

If at very least Gudbranson out performs Roman Polak, you have to think there is a chance Babcock will get management's ear about acquiring him.

Canucks are hit with full cap hit since the deal was annulled and the NHL thought it would be funny we are on the hook for Boeser scoring against us.

Canucks playing 'Canada's Team'......Its going to be a lot tougher getting getting a win at the ACC than in prior years..Hopefully,the Canucks put on a good show.
