Holland deserves criticism for ever thinking that this D group was NHL worthy. He had an entire off-season (an early one at that because... guess what... the defense sucked against Chicago) to address it and his ace in the hole was Slater Koekkoek. Just inexcusable.
He lost his #1 and signed both Koekkoek and Barrie. 50% of the d is different.

This looks like a team that could've used a preseason. Better figure it out soon.

Yup. Game 1 is a loss. But hockey is a major sport where momentum and winning streaks can pile up. We will see.

Kahun is a hound on the puck hopefully this makes Tippett realize he has 2 lines if he switched Kassian with Pljujarvi and Kahun with RNH.

A lot of wide open looks for the Canucks on their goals but that last goal was weak and Holtby has clearly been better.

Baker’s Bay
The first goal that's actually on Koskinen.

Agreed. Should of had it. But I mean how many high danger chances should he be expected to save. Vancouver’s has had several breakaways or partials as well as several odd man rushes.

look at the goals

1. Horvat in all alone from the high slot.
2. Nurse gets outmuscled by a child who buries a point blank rebound (koskinen maybe could of had it)
3. Gaudette wide open high slot.
4. Boeser uncovered walks in from mid slot.
5. Boeser gets floated a pass from the other side of the rink and walks in partial break bad angle. Koskinen should of had it
