You’d think they are probably 4-5 years away from even being a bubble playoff team
With the parity in the league who knows. Chicago has a ton of cap space (25 million) moving forward. They might be able to bring in some bigger pieces during the summer. But yeah, bedard needs help for sure. He’s only 18, weak as a kitten and isn’t very fast. He can’t do much and gets dummied many nights. Esp tonight. McDavid and drai put the clamp on him.

Yeah some smart moves could help speed that along.

They are 6-7 pieces away. Hall and Seth jones aren’t getting younger

Beat a lottery team with a B effort. Loving the Line 4 Mighty Mites work rate and finish. Solid cycle and forecheck with big brains driving old legs and young guy centering and learning from them. Our Connor is better/best. Draisaitl got a break on a better skating day. Bouchard played in a rocking chair tonight - calm, composed in all zone culminating in his open ice hit on Bedard. Nice goal for Bedard with basically zero to work with.

Keep it rolling. This game was a two foot gimme putt.

Tough game coming up, but winnable. I have absolute faith that this team can beat any other team in the league right now - if they do what the coach wants them to, and they put in a complete game. That first period was a step back, but they improved at least.

Thats deceptive because the Oilers are already in the WC on win %. We have multiple games in hand. Before game started we were already tied for last WC, but NHL scheduling and GP is stupid so...
Despite a better win percentage and less games played, points is still the first tiebreaker, unless tied in points.

But if they win those games in hand, that'll be a nice cushion to start building on.

He will be awesome. His shot is elite and he’s crafty. But yeah. Probably just one tier down from McDavid.
Yeah but just take the body. Look how Bouchard destroyed him multiple times in this game just putting him to the ice. Yes, Bouchard, who handled him with ease all night. Oddly Bedard gets his only look on a play Ekholm was sleeping on. Just take his stick, hit him, anything. Booch got the memo.

Just another superstar game from Booch too. The guy is electric on right now. Bouchard would be the marquee player on some teams in this league, thats how good he is. Offensively speaking he's just next dimension and the D side rounding into play. Booch was getting people out of the seats just with his D plays tonight. So good.

Bouchard is going to have a lot of fans eating plenty of crow. Will be the best D man on the team since Pronger.

Now call a team meeting and vote Brown off the team like Survivor.
I almost feel bad for this guy…almost…

His money should make him feel just fine

I think he cares a lot but does nothing out there. My only hope there is some weird story here where if we make the playoffs he is a hero of some sort. Like somehow becomes a Pisani
