Zetterberg and Datsyuk

There's been a lot of dispute and disagreements on here the last several months, but I think the one thing we can relish is how well the twins are playing. Zetterberg really seems to be growing into his role as Captain. Let's just take a moment and appreciate their PPG play thus far, and their consistency.

Well I said during the preseason already that we would be doomed if one of them would get injured, and that still stands.

Zetterberg could hit 40 goals if he sticks with Datsyuk. He hasn't hit 30 since 2009. 40 since 2008.

He has 11 goals last year in 46 games. This year he has 10 in 18.

We have only 2 offensive players we can truly count on. Holland has failed us.

If we actually want to make the playoffs this year I think we can maybe tops go 5 more games with them together if we want to get in. And that is assuming weiss and franzen come back on time and don't have set backs and start producing to there ability.

I would like a bit more consistency from Pav, he's been amazing one game and almost invisible the next. But I understand that's asking a lot since he and Z are the most consistant players we have and they've both been great this season.

What we need is Nyquist up so Babcock doesn't have to split them.

I don't think that is necessary. Even with the inconsistent play I think the Wings are at least a lock for a wildcard spot.
