What's the issue between Zadorov and Colorado? Also what is he looking for on his next contract? He doesn't make the most sense because he's a LD but Sergachev prefers to play the right side and this will allow him to do that. It depends on the cost to acquire and what he wants in a contract, he's arbitration eligible so might not be a target as we can't accept an arbitration deal we don't want when we have others to sign.

To me this seems like an offseason option, especially with how much cap space Colorado has. Something like Miller + Callahan for Zadorov. With the intention that Colorado would buyout Callahan. Similar to the deal you did with Washington but instead of a pick it's Zadorov and Miller is a proven player unlike Grubauer who was more potential.

He's the main writer for the main Avs coverage. He's close and around the team. He doesn't post speculation or take guesses usually. If he is saying it then the speculation is a real thing, even if nothing comes of it.

He isn't an "insider" that breaks trades or does rumors though as no one is for the Avs. Not even the big 3 ever have any idea whats going on with them. The only info they ever get out about the Avs is from the teams the Avs deal with.

So take it as a legit source for a good talking point.

Its funny because of the story but TBH he's the exact player they should be targeting. Top end RHD with term and could be very cheap if TBL can get Col to retain on his contract which there really isn't a reason why they wouldn't.
