Considering the tone of the game up until that point, I was surprised the Jets didn't go for more hits like that in the 3rd.

Hit was fine. Wild were still playing, no reason to expect the jets to stop playing. Espiecially a game after we launched into a series of fisticuffs in the trailing minutes of a game we were never in.
