Nyquist doesn't need showcasing. He plays good hockey.

Not suggesting that Nyquist is not a good hockey player. He does have a history of some slow starts. Considering that he has potential trade value, I would try to put him in a situation that will maximize his stats.

Besides, you don't need to put him on the top line to market him.

Just as Larkin played with Zetterberg his rookie year, I think Zadina will play with Larkin. The two most hyped players on the team, now playing together, has marketing value. Hopefully, they also drive the team rebuild. Mantha will probably be second wing, although Rasmussen might provide better net front presence.

I want to put him in a place where he will play good hockey. His trade value or not shouldn't have anything to do with how you deploy him.

And no. They put Larkin with Zetterberg for the same reason they put Zetterberg and Datsyuk with Hull. Old dude show the hot shots the ropes. Again, nothing to do with hype. If Zadina plays with Larkin it's because they think Larkin is the best C on the team and that Zadina is worthy of top line minutes. The Wings do not seem to be motivated by "marketing" their players. Larkin was stapled to Z's line because Z was still the best forward on the team and the one that could help Larkin grow the most.

Playing good hockey should give him good stats.

The reason the Wings haven't totally embraced the rebuild is they are trying to stay competitive and fill LSA seat. Many of their decisions are based on marketing. It is nice to believe all their decisions are based on what is best for the team and players today and tomorrow, but that is not always true.

They will get their chance, no need to worry. This line up wont last long.
Cholo and Hronek gets a rocket start in GR and then their confidence is skyhigh, and then we bring them aboard. After 20-25 games Kronner will breaks up, Jensen gets waived etc. Two spots opens up for them.

I believe Holland said Rus will be with Larkin . It s means
Rasmussen-Larkin-Mantha
and I like to see next Abdelkator-Nielson-Vanek
at end of the season Zadina-Nielson-Vanek
3rd line Helm-AA- Nyquist ( after Nyquist trade- Svechnikov or FRk

Never heard Holland say that? He pretty much said that Rasmussen would be 3rd line LW.

Based on the training camp lines I think it will be:

Tuzzi-Larks-Mantha
Rasmus-Niels-Gus
Akader-AA-Vanek
Helm-Glendy-Svechnikov

DeKeyser-Green
Ericsson-Daley
Kronner-Jensen
I like it , just we need to bring Hicketts or Hronek pair with Kroner for learning
