Youth Outreach/Try Hockey For Free

The outreach and marketing are starting to hit their stride. Huge lines at today's event at the LVIC for kids to try hockey out for free.



The response from the city so far at all the events has got me feeling really optimistic.

The last hockey game I played on ice was at the ice center. Not too far from my house.

Nice to see em do this.

I saw some video from this event...fantastic.
As a hockey guy from Canada it was friggin' awesome to see kids from Las Vegas out on the ice.
...And they'll love it! There's no sport like it. Skating is the closest thing to flying.
I coach the game, and it's so rewarding to see the fun that kids have when playing hockey.
Find a way to keep it affordable, especially for the very young ones.
Forget the excess equipment and play-ball-hockey-on-ice at first.
With the softer ball you would only need helmet, gloves, skate and a stick.
You can learn how to skate, snipe, dangle and celly, before you even touch a puck.
Get the kids playing the game!!!... because once they're hooked, they'll watch and play it forever.
Hell we have leagues for the 60+ up here!

(sorry, but I've paid so bloody much to play in "free " leagues over the years!)
