I'll give it a go, not with my top 14 bands/artists, but being smart (anyway, Diamanda Galas would scare the fish away).
Alice Cooper - first choice easy
The Beatles - can't do without them
The Kinks - not the same consistency but top-end they were amazing
I think these three would fill the need for classic rock n' roll and bring on some fun and accessible experimentation
John Zorn - that's like what? 200 000 albums of every moods and tones, and some more complex experimentation in case I ever feel like an intellectual on that island
Otis Redding - with the live albums
Ray Charles
Otis hits all the right moods, Ray has enough material to comfort my soul's cravings for some time.
Jacques Brel
Renaud
French mood and great lyrics
Suicidal Tendencies
Slayer
For darker/rougher days
Electric Light Orchestra - some pick me up lighter mood will be needed
Funkadelic - some lighter mood too, but also some great and rich songs
Eminem
Learning to sing
Rap God or
Gozilla might get me through the rougher parts of the solitary boredom
I leave my 14th spot open because I need to remember what a female voice sounds like, but I can't think of anybody right now.
edit: oh crap, just saw Tom Waits in montreal's list.... really tempted to go all male... or Leonard Cohen...
