20 games in Liiga with almost .5 ppg and +11. I think he is best offensive defenceman in this draft. I don't saw much players from this draft but what I saw from Kokkonen impress me he could be next Heiskanen.

He moves nothing like Heiskanen.

I think your list has a lot of very productive players and players in the spotlight right now, but some of those players are not really high level prospects, from the way I see it.

The difference between Heiskanen's and Kokkonen's skating is pretty huge. He was okay defensively, used his strength quite well, but he didn't really show anything offensively. He's strong, but looks like an early developer that benefited from that in the juniors.

Pretty good right now. I think better than 2018. Top-end won't be as good as 2018, but the rest of the first is looking very good.
The top end is better than 2018 for sure, at least in terms of forwards. Next years d-crop has nothing on this years d-crop tho.

I agree with PB that Guskov is the Russian front-runner right now. Knyazev is sort of old news; he might get his stock back but he had a bad year.

I was talking about all positions, not splitting it up by position. We’ll see about this years forwards vs. next years forwards. I’m not sure anyone next year will best Svechnikov, but I think there will be better depth.

Uh, what? Svechnikov really isn't that good. Only Dahlin you can argue is better than Hughes.

Theres this guy named Jack Hughes, im sure youve heard. Theres a ton of forward prospects in next years draft that are equal to or better than both Svech and Zadina. The forward crop next year blows this years out of the water.

Yes, I have heard of him. I think Svechnikov is at least as good of a prospect.

I already said I think there will be better depth.

I really think. Nikita Alexandrov will be a top 10 pick next season if not he will be close. Kid wil be one of the best players in theQnext season. Also would not be suprised to see team mate Brett Budgell go in the first round as well

What's a good NHL comparable for Peyton Krebs?

Also don't you think he'll take a backseat to guys like Dach, Byram, Suzuki, Lavoie due to him being a winger? Or is he just that good?

unless you actually check....Marner was well above average in corsi/fenwick relatives , actually beating Hischier in both (while also playing on lines that were better possession lines than Hischier, so probably harder to have better relatives), as well as beating him in takeaways by a wide margin. Marner is a very good 2 way player at this point, and that was what he was billed to be.

Marner's outproduced Hischier by a fairly wide margin in both his years in the league. He's older, so Hischier deserves some more time before the comparison gets made negatively, but anointing him as the better player when the evidence says the opposite seems silly

Marner was a more prodigious player in junior, would definitely been in the conversation at #1 in last year's draft. Very easy to let "#1oa pick" skew your opinion, but remember that Marner's draft is being considered as the best of all time already and Hischier's draft was one of the weakest top 5's ever

Hischier plays a more important position, that's fair

You won't find one GM that would take Market ahead of Hischier. Not one. Nico's the closest thing to Bergeron out there. As far as Marner goes there will always be too many similar wingers.

Krebs played center most of the year and could be one going ahead as he has the skating and 2way talent for it. He's still growing so there isn't a comparable for him as of now. His game and style is still developing but when it's all said and done I figure he'll be something of a Kopitar/Marner mix. Obviously those 2 players aren't that similar but see some of both in Krebs right now.

Unrealistic statement. Marner’s 2018 play shows he has the ability to be a 100+ point guy in the league and drive his own line. You better believe that many GMs would take that over Hischier if the latter tops out as a 60-70 point 2-way 1C.

Germany
2019 could really be an interesting draft for Germans.

I still consider Nikita Alexandrov, although he has never played for Germany, as a German prospect. And if he can build on his playoff performance for Charlottetown, he won't have to wait too long before his name is called on draft day.

Yannik Valenti is another very promising young player, who is supposed to play for Vancouver in the WHL next season. If he adjusts and adapts well to the game in North America he is another German who could go in the first 3 rounds.

Moritz Seider is by far the best defensive prospect in Germany at the moment. He will stay in Germany and finish school and should play mostly in pro leagues and not as much in the junior league. Playing in Germany may hurt his draft stock, but I am very high on him and think he is a 1st or 2nd round talent.
