Those predictions are by no means etched in stone. Skille, Rask, Price, Hanzal, Parent or even Zagrapan may catch the fancy of a top 10 team and slide ahead of one or more of the last five players I listed; I don't believe there is much of a consensus amongst the scouting fraternity after the "top five," except perhaps that Setoguchi won't be a top 10 pick, as someone predicted here earlier. I am of the opinion that Mr. Setoguchi is a tad overrated on this board, as witnessed by the tremendous outcry over him being passed over for the WJC evaluation camp. He'll get his chance next summer if he has a dominant offensive season, but he wasn't going to get much consideration for a top six forward position going into this camp, and he certainly wasn't/isn't going to make the junior team any time soon as a physical checking line player.
I'm not denying that he has offensive talent, but he needs to mature physically/mentally and improve his skating; he does those things and he'll have a good chance at cracking the junior team in 2007. With this season's lack of talent he might end up being a mid-first-round pick, although I figure he'll be a late first rounder or early second-round selection.
