Rask is way too high, not a good year for goalies. And I'd be very surprized if Staal and Bourdon both fall out of the top 10. Bourret should be 10-14.

IMO there are six players that will definately be picked in the top ten:

1) Crosby
2) Johnson
3) Brule
4) Pouliot
5) Ryan
6) Kopitar

A guy that I think will sneak in is Skille. He's the prototype for the current NHL power winger in the Bill Guerin mold.

Those predictions are by no means etched in stone. Skille, Rask, Price, Hanzal, Parent or even Zagrapan may catch the fancy of a top 10 team and slide ahead of one or more of the last five players I listed; I don't believe there is much of a consensus amongst the scouting fraternity after the "top five," except perhaps that Setoguchi won't be a top 10 pick, as someone predicted here earlier. I am of the opinion that Mr. Setoguchi is a tad overrated on this board, as witnessed by the tremendous outcry over him being passed over for the WJC evaluation camp. He'll get his chance next summer if he has a dominant offensive season, but he wasn't going to get much consideration for a top six forward position going into this camp, and he certainly wasn't/isn't going to make the junior team any time soon as a physical checking line player.

I'm not denying that he has offensive talent, but he needs to mature physically/mentally and improve his skating; he does those things and he'll have a good chance at cracking the junior team in 2007. With this season's lack of talent he might end up being a mid-first-round pick, although I figure he'll be a late first rounder or early second-round selection.

I might surprize a few here but I think Kopitar will go sooner that expected because of his skill & size & maturity & upside:

1- Crosby
2- Johnson
3- Kopitar
4- Brule
5- Pouliot
6- Ryan
7- O'Marra
8- Skille
9- Staal
10- Bourret
