free agency and draft approaching, what does your team need this offseason?

:bruins

for bruins, i'd say:

-top 4 defenseman is top of the list, especially with the likely departure of torey krug
-cam neely talked about getting more size & willingness to get to the net (power winger)
-probably musical chairs with some depth guys
-rask is the wild card, obviously if he is traded they need a replacement

-Cap relief, specifically and end to the Fleury drama. They might want some bodies back on bad contracts instead of retaining salary on him. Taking a player back to buy them out is a possibility.
-I suggested trading for Debrusk on here as well, as he's an RFA without arbitration rights. This would be very helpful to their cap situation.
-Another year of Stastny is fine, or possibly traded mid-season, but he'll probably be the next one to go if they can't make the cap work
-A veteran backup with a low cap wouldn't hurt either
-They should probably start making space for one of their forward prospects, either this offseason or next.
-RHD is a big need but they're not going to overpay

Habs:
Top-6 winger (in trade for Domi and similar age). Preferably one with size.

- Time and patience

What the Habs DO NOT NEED:
- 3rd / 4th line C's or wingers
- bottom pairing dmen
- 2nd round picks
- 3rd round picks
- 4th round picks

Every position but the slots that Nico Hughes and Blackwood plays.
Seriously though we need :
2 LHD
2 top 6 wingers
1a/1b goalie

And more about what we Do NOT need is - Schneider playing in any NHL regular season games .

Avs and NJ make good trade partners given your needs and our surplus (i.e. Graves/Zadorov, Compher/Donskoi/Jost).

would ya'll be interested in Butcher at all? He can play RHD. I Think a Butcher for Zadorov swap was discussed in the past

also, what would you offer for Palmieri?

It’d be a tough call, but they might never have a better chance to move on from Rask if they chose to.

The more I think of it I can see them using Carlo in a trade to help out the forward scoring. After that signing/trading for several new defenders more in the mould of what has erased them from the playoffs the past two years. I’m not sold Neely likes that group at all.

Devils are full of those:
1. Zacha
2.Butcher
3. Palms

Send us Zadorov and picks / prospects and call it a day .
I don't think Zacha would be of any interest to Sakic, given how much he tends to lean on analytics.

Zacha is excellent on the PK, but he's diabolically bad at 5v5. Not sure if that's primarily from being on a bad team or not, but he's always had poor possession metrics so it doesn't seem to be a one-off.

Butcher is a LHD which we have in spades (not to mention Butcher's history with the Avs isn't great).

Palmieri might be of interest, but I'm not sure we need another sniper.

Detroit, while the team has a lot of needs these 3 are the more pressing ones:

2nd line center
Top 4 LD
Starting goalie

1. Right Hand Shots
2. Goalie (I’m fine with Talbot he was great last year, don’t know why we haven’t re-signed him)

Can I interest you in a Marchessault and a McNabb for Severson and a prospect?

Act now, and we'll throw in a 1b goaltender.

For the first half of last year Zacha was always moved around the lineup and had no consistent line mates . Once he was put on a line and not moved around his game I proved a ton.
Like you said he is very good on the PK and is still improving 5on5
I like Zacha but I want Zadorov in a huge way (pun intended )
