OFFENSE
Who will be there in 6 years? Sergei Kostitsyn, Andrei Kostitsyn, Guillaume Latendresse, Chris Higgins, Matt D'Agostini, Kyle Chipchura, Maxim Lapierre, Jonathan Ferland, Ryan White.

DEFENSE
Who will be there in 6 years? Andrei Markov, Mathieu Carle, Ryan O'Byrne, David Fischer.

Out:
Mikhail Grabovski - He's small and really exciting but has had trouble in the AHL and doesn't seem to be strong enough for the NHL. Goes back to Europe in a year or two.

Saku Koivu - Too much injuries, he decides to retire in 3 or 4 years. Habs fan are wondering if his jersey will be retired or not.

Michael Ryder - Just a random one-dimentional scorer, who knows where he will be in 6 years.

Tomas Plekanec - Very solid player, but let's just say he leaves as a free agent in 4 or 5 years.

Duncan Milroy/Ben Maxwell/Mathieu Aubin - Not enough space.

Alexei Emelin & Pavel Valentenko - Both het short cup of coffees of the NHL and go back to Russia.

Mike Komisarek - After a lot of good years with the Habs in decides to leave as a UFA for more money, Adam Foote-like.

Josh Gorges/Jon Gleed - Who cares.

Jaroslav Halak - Will be used as a trading chip when Price is ready.

Realistic lineup:

Sergei Kostitsyn - UFA - Andrei Kostitsyn
Chris Higgins - ((Angelo Esposito)) - Guillaume Latendresse
2008 1st Rounder - Kyle Chipchura - Matthew D'Agostini
Ryan White - Maxim Lapierre - Jonathan Ferland

Andrei Markov - Ryan O'Byrne
((Thomas Hickey)) - David Fischer
2007 2nd Rounder - Mathieu Carle

Dont include players in the future like kids that are 12 years old now and will be 18 in 6 years..Just use the players in your system and get a couple of reasonable free agent signings..Yeah i know Ovechkin...But i have that gut feeling that he will eventually become a Shark

So what exactly did you give up for Ovechkin and Carter? You better hope the league doubles it's revenue by then.

My take on the Pens in six years:

Simon Gagne - Sidney Crosby - Colby Armstrong
Rene Bourque - Jordan Staal - Patrick Sharp
Darryl Bootland - Dustin Boyd - Lauri Tukonen
Niklas Hagman - Drew Larman - Dylan Conroth :sarcasm:

Nick Schultz - Kris Letang
Dmitri Kalinin - Josh Gorges
Derek Joslin - Korbinian Holzer(what a name)

Trevor Cann
Alex Auld

Yes, but, this thread was made for fun and to see what were the plans on some lesser-known youngsters that each organisation have.. nobody knows in 6 years how the rosters will look like. Look, I'm going to quote my post above with a prospect-full Habs lineup and make it more realistic.

Yeah but these rosters are like a list of your team's current prospects and young players. Pretty boring but maybe that's just me...I do understand what you're saying, though. I guess I'm just not much of a prospect fanatic, unlike many people here.

Lets see here...
Brown-Kopitar-Cammalleri
Frolov-O'Sullivan-Purcell
Moulson-Lundmark-Tukonen
Ivanans-Zeiler-Cliche
(Gauthier, Braun, Brady Murray, Meckler)

Johnson-Boyle
Piskula-Vishnovsky
Ryan-Hersley
(Fast, Baier, Petoit)

Bernier-Labarbera
(Zaba)

...Free Agents... undrafted players... naw we dont need any of those, well maybe a right winger in there I had to force a couple centers to switch over, once they realized that is was for the better of the team they submitted.

6 Years? It is almost a joke even to pretend we can guess what our teams are going look like then.

Heck look at the Kings. Easily one of the youngest core groups in the NHL. Yet in 6 years everyone from Brown to Cammy to Frolov will be UFA.

The only two guys who are likely to be on the team (As RFA) are Jack Johnson and Kopitar. Maybe if we are lucky Bernier is our starting goalie.

Everyone else is UFA... And thats a crap shoot if we resign them.

Parise is a damn good young player, and I know Marty can play a hell of a lot of games, but I just can't see him being the backup goalie as well as top line center. ;) :sarcasm:

I believe he's making reference to Parise's younger brother who played goal (he might still, not sure) for UND.

Though I don't know if you guys have his rights or not

I'll take a shot at Vancouver's defense :

Willie Mitchell (36, Shoots L) - Kirill Koltsov / PPQB (30, Shoots L, if not Kirill, probably a R)
Alexander Edler (27, Shoots L) - Kevin Bieksa (31, Shoots R)
Daniel Rahimi (26, Shoots L) - Luc Bourdon (26, Shoots L)

Maybe replace 1 or 2 of the young players with Ohlund and or Salo.
It also seems like way too many Left handers, but is that really a big deal?

The Blues:

T.J. Oshie - UFA (#1 Center like Joe Thornton) - Lee Stempniak
Patrik Berglund - Carl Soderberg - UFA (good goal scoring winger)
David Backes - Jay McClement - Tomas Kana
D.J. King - Jamal Mayers - UFA Grinder

Erik Johnson - Barret Jackman
Eric Brewer - Roman Polak
Scott Jackson - UFA/Jonas Junland

Marek Schwarz
Ben Bishop

That's my best guess, and it seems pretty realistic.

Nice post using only Ranger prospects. but we would need more top level talent... Crosby anyone?:naughty:

Also, I believe Pyatt is a center... I didn't check though.

Andrei Kostitsyn (27) - Mikhail Grabovsky (28) - Sergei Kostitsyn (26) - First scoring line, explosive, all Bielorussian
Chris Higgins (29) - Ben Maxwell (25) - Guillaume Latendresse (25) - Strong, physical and very good offensively
Mathieu Aubin (27) - Kyle Chipchura (27) - Matt D'Agostini (26) - Great 2-way line Aubin offensive potential is good like D'Ago.
Jonathan Ferland (30) - Thomas Plekanec (30) - Maxim Lapierre (27) - grit, fast and offensive touch with Pleky.

Its odd that we can only made a roster with our current prospect/player while some people dream and put 2-3 Crosby on each team.

Andrei Markov (34) - Alexei Emelin (28)
Pavel Valentenko (26) - David Fisher (26)
Ryan O'Byrne (28) - Mike Komisarek (31)

Carey Price (25)
Jaroslav Halak (26)

Very good roster only made by habs players/prospect...it could turn to be a deadly team!

Very good roster only made by habs players/prospect...it could turn to be a deadly team!

No way that Plekanec would accept a 4th line role during his prime (assuming he's good for a 50 pts / season as soon as next year, I bet he can top 70 points in his prime, that is of course he have a top 6 role)

The way I see it it's more like

Chris Higgins - Backlund/Esposito/Centre draft in early rounds - Guillaume Latendresse
All-Belarussians Line
Tomas Plekanec - Saku Koivu - Matt D'Agostini
Jonathan Ferland - Kyle Chipchura - Maxim Lapierre

Aubin will be traded away and Im still sceptic about Maxwell and White. Then you have on D :

Andrei Markov - Alexei Emelin
Mike Komisarek - Ryan O'Byrne
Mathieu Carle - David Fischer
Pavel Valetenko

Carey Price
Yann Danis

I hope a package of (Valenteko, Aubin, Maxwell, White, Halak) will be trade for a better 1st round pick or something like that. We need a franchise player, badly.
