Is this a joke? Considering you're a Kings fan I'll say probably not.

No, it's serious man. Kopitar is already the real deal. He's to the Kings what Forsberg was to the Avs. And Jack Johnson is to the Kings what Lidstrom is to the Red Wings.

The Kings will win the cup the following five years after this one year, just you watch!!11!11one!

:shakehead

For the love of God, people. A guy made a joke about having Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, et al on the same team.

Threads like this are not meant to be taken seriously. People are completely discounting trades and FA signings, and ignoring the fact that MOST of the prospects in their system aren't going to make the NHL. I bet even if people make a guess of what the team will look like one year from today, not one person will be close.

I mean really, did anyone, last year, think Chara and Savard will be on the Bruins next year or Ribeiro and Lindros will be on the Stars?

The only thing we know for certain, six years from now, is that DiPietro will be on the Islanders. I know this is a board to discuss the future, but any type of predictions shouldn't be taken seriously.

Yes anything can happen, you never know if someone wants to test the market during there FA period unless they publiclly state that. But since they are only predictions, you can try to be as accurate as possible...

Sure, but the point is that there's not a lot that should be taken seriously in a thread like this, especially since my response was quoting the intentionally most absurd team projection, and saying that it's only ridiculous because Malkin and Crosby are ahead of Kopitar.

I guess I overestimate people's senses of humor.

The Habs in 6 years, without any UFA's. I think they're impressive.

Here is what I would do with the Bruins with no UFA, only guys currently on the team or in the system:

Kessel-Bergeron-Krejci
Kalus-Savard-Boyes
Collins-Rabbit-Karsums
Hedman-Sastny-Versteeg

B. Stuart-M. Stuart
Jurcina-Lashoff
Alberts-Alexandrov

Toivonen
Rask

Pretty tough to fill out the forwards after the Ks...the Bruins have much more depth in net and on the blue line up front.

Crosby will be a ufa in 6 years, which by logic, means he will be a habs.

And for the doubtful minds out there:

All I know is that one of Ramo, Koshechkin, or Helenius will be starting in net for Tampa.

'83-'84 ray bourque - '90-'91 al macinnis
'12-'13 matt carle - '74-'75 bobby orr
'09-'10 dion phaneuf (post bionic enhancement) - '95-'96 scott stevens
