Well, may I start it? I'd dare. :)

Western Conference (only as for me):
1. SKA
2. Dynamo
3. Lokomotiv
4. Torpedo
5. CSKA
6. Jokerit
7. Slovan
8. Minsk
9. Severstal
10. Riga
11. Medveščak
12. Sochi
13. Atlant
14. Vityaz

Well... SKA is SKA, Dynamo is gonna keep their standard, I think. Then, I find Lokomotiv very very strong this season. I don't know much about Torpedo but since last season they have just profiled into a serious team. Slovan can, hopefully, make PO after last season which was a rubbish. Minsk looks very good, I wouldn't be even surpised if they finish upon CSKA, Jokerit or other favourites.
Medveščak has lost many two-star players and in my humble opinion they haven't replaced them properly and moreover their pre-season has been very weak - not only in terms of results at all, but mainly speaking of opponents - this exactly was problem of Slovan last season and we suffer for it in the beginning very much and couldn't make it up later on. And generally I see Medveščak as Slovan; their first season was very good (as well as ours), now it's their second season and that is usually much more difficult - not only Slovan confirmed it.

But, of course, it's just my temporal point of view. :)
Now, it's your turns, I am very curious about your opinions.

I am not that brave to go down under those three but it will be interesting and close...also don't see jokerit higher than 6th place but it is just a feeling, don't have anything to back me up

1. SKA
2. Torpedo (pretty strong)
3. Dynamo Moscow (will struggle at the beggining due to losing Leo, and some players like Zherdev and Daugavins get long adapting)
4. CSKA (only with healthy Radulov)
5. Lokomotiv
6. Jokerit (1-3 place after September, but really not that much comes out of these guys)
7. Minsk
8. Atlant
9. Sochi HC
10. Severstal (actually, a huge battle between these 3 teams for 8 place, it could be anything)
11. Slovan
12. Vityaz
13. Riga (some big giveaways right before deadline)
14. Medvescak

1. Avangard (possibly, most points and most scored goals as well)
2. Ak Bars (least goals conceded, textbook Ak Bars)
3. Barys
4. Metallurg Mg
5. Yugra
6. Neftekhimik (two teams with some big signings, wouldnt be a surprise to see them there)
7. Salavat Yulaev (Sloppy play at pre-season and lost Vasilevskiy)
8. Avtomobilist
9. Traktor
10. Admiral (another clash for 8 place between those 3)
11. Amur (... still good season for them?!)
12. Lada
13. Metallurg Nk
14. Sibir

Cool story bro :sarcasm:

Torpedo, Avangard and SU placements take the cake. Would love if you explained those.

I will try to find reason in those.

Torpedo is pretty strong. Strength=force. The Force is with them.

Avangard will use some finnish magic.

The entire SU team will fall into a deep deperssion over losing Vailevsky and leave the net vacant in games to honor his departure.

It was actually pretty funny  Must've been exactly what Element was thinking.

Lol at most people placing riga outside of the pkayoffs.
, just like last year . hilarious.

Well, I can see the logic behind placing the team which may end up using broomstick as a 1st line center outside the playoffs. However, Avangard is in a similar position since they are going to use a broomstick for a 2nd line center and they still get picked to win the EC. That's confusing.

Riga is way too unpredictable. They have a good season, then finish close to last, then have a good season again. That's the reason. Live with it and hope for a great season again. Also there is no denying they lost a couple of guys. Time will tell.

That's a good thing you guys are joking about this prediction, now i don't need to argue hard as anything i say would be mocked high.
But i have to say this is only a prediction and everybody like it unexpected.

What? You do realise that Riga hasnt made playoffs only once in their 6 seasons? We are probably one of the most consistent "small" teams in the league.
And that one time we didnt make the playoffs was because of Rautakallio being a stubborn jackass and our GM making bad decisions left and righ(Schremp, among others).

Look. ppl place Riga around 18-20th in the league. that's a drop off compared to previous seasons, but there are reasons for it. Riga was a perennial bubble team around 15th in the league. It's not a huge drop off too.

Those Finnish tables look reasonable, along with those probable ranges, which is why they're likely to turn out wrong. ;) As every year, I'm sure there'll be surprises that no one in their right mind would ever have expected, such as Avto being better than Avangard last season.

According to GM Weisfeld a minor injury, nothing lengthy. Should be playing soon.
