For those who prefer Richards as the 3rd line C and Carter as the 2nd line C instead of them on the same line (meaning Carter plays RW), do you guys think Richards' ego will get hurt, being relegated to the 3rd line?

That's the not real issue I see with it. But that would make our 3rd line center a 5.75M player and 4th line in Stoll at 3.25M. Meaning we would be seriously overpaying for those positions.

Trade Martinez.

I know I'd still need to get rid of one forward on that roster (carrying 8 dmen). Toffoli's the only guy who can be sent down sans waivers, but at the same time he's more skilled than most of the guys in the bottom six. This gives me much anxiety.

He might, but it's tough to say as Muzzin was out nursing an injury in the last preseason game and it was said that normally that spot may be Muzzin's and Voynov would be on the second PP unit.

Between Regehr & Scuds you mean ? well Scuderi has TWO Stanley Cup Rings and Regehr has NONE, if that helps

Scuds is so underrated because what he does isn't FLASHY it just WORKS and gets the job done, Regher plays with a More Physical Edge and will lay people out more, think an older slower Matt Greene ... but it is what it is ... long and short Scuderi wanted to go back east and be closer to home, for the Kings to have kept him would have meant too large of an overpayment IMO to keep, meaning MORE than he previously made and MORE than the Penguins paid to get him back, so there you go ... considering the trade off Regher isn't too big of a drop off, just not sure at his age if he can play 1st pairing minutes alongside Drew for an entire season or not ? THAT will be the question mark ! same issue with Willie Mitchell really.

For the long tern health of the Kings Back End, we need the young guys to continue to develop ... hopefully some pairing of Muzzin, Ellerby, Forbort, Gravel, Deslauriers or Roach will be able to step up and replace our 2D and 4D spots soon, along side Doughty and Voynov as the 1D/3D.

with the option of running Clifford/Nolan/Carcillo for teams like the Sharkes/Blues... Ok Carcillo is a LW think he'll still be able to hit guys on the right... Nolan will get killed on face offs... that's the point... it's easier to hit people when they have the puck then when you have it.

That would required dropping to 7D ... so there's that problem..

Looks like Brownie's injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Many of us, including myself, had King packed and on the plane.

Kinda bumped to be honest; I was hoping we would trade Fraser and have AA make the roster or one of our other young centers take Fraser's spot. Was also hoping Car Bomb would find a roster spot but that doesnt look like it will happen.
