I think the top two lines are probably set. For the bottom six:

Jokinen-Sutter-Jeffrey
Adams-Vitale-Kobasew

is what I'd like to see. I think that third line is every bit as skilled as the Boston line, and all three are at least good defensively. Lines need an identity, not just the three best players. I think it's a true two way line that I would feel fine going against top lines, but they would still be expected to control the puck and score. The fourth is kind of bland, but at least not a huge liability. What we're probably going to see:

Jokinen-Sutter-D'ags/Kobasew
Glass-Vitale-Adams
Jeffrey

I really do feel for Jeffrey.

I'm really not sure why Jeffrey re-signed here, knowing he's probably getting a fraction of the playing time he'd get on any other team. Maybe he just really likes the organization?

Either way, I think he's still a question-mark. Sometimes he looks like he's cut out for a real permanent NHL role, and then other times he's a total phantom on the ice. I think he'd be worth a shot in the bottom-6 to start the season - surely it can't do anymore damage than Eric Tangradi in the top 6 did last year - but I'm not sure what to think about how he projects, long-term.

What I expect:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Bennett-Malkin-Neal
Jokinen-Sutter-D'Agostini
Glass-Vitale-Adams

Letang-Scuderi
Orpik-Martin
Despres-Bortuzzo

What I want:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Bennett-Malkin-Neal
Jokinen-Sutter-D'Agostini
Jeffery-Vitale- Kobasew

Letang-Despres
Orpik-Martin
Scuderi-Maatta/Bortuzzo

I know Maatta playing in the OHL with 25+ minutes a game would be best, but damn, do I want him in the NHL next year. From everywhere I've heard, he's ready.

I believe this is the best lineup we can ice.

Kunitz-Crosby-Beau
Jokinen-Malkin-Neal
Dupuis-Sutter-D'Agostini
Kobasew-Vitale-Jeffery

we will see one of the worst 5 possible lineups though

Only one of the five worst lineups? Not one of three worst or the worst? You are quite the optimist. ;)
